I kind of doubt it's true. They've done the NOVA at least, so as long as it has a registration document from the country of origin should be easy* to register with the efficient* DVLA microcar section  ?

Except that, in France at least, historically Sans Permis vehicles didn't need to be registered, and when the law changed it wasn't made retroactive - which can make things awkward.

Also, there's nowhere near as much consistency with licence regulations across EU countries as the "ever closer union" mantra might lead one to believe.

Oops, soz, is that too much politics for the Tat thread?

This series 1.5 SD1 looks like a viable project.  Check out the over-riders with headlamp washers. Yum.

I assume the number plate should be read as "Try 50 times", and is an instruction for getting it to fire up after 28 years of slumber.

Is ‘windscreen held in with gaffer tape’ an advisory or a fail these days?

while I doubt this is true

I do wonder how do the laws for Sans permis cars work in france or other countries exactly, now everything has been harmonized within the EU etc...

(esp if your french and drive your sans permis car to another EU country or such)

Not all EU countries have Sans permis vechiles of teh same quality/spec.

Here is eh Dutch regulations for such a vehicle . https://expatinfoholland.nl/help-guides/transport-mobility/dutch-mini-micro-moped-cars/

In the UK you still need AM category on your driving licence  https://www.gov.uk/driving-licence-categories

Sometimes this one Europe thing is not always the truth.
