When I were a lad In the early 1970s I used to pass through a village in Leicestershire with my dad every saturday morning, in the front garden of a terraced house on the main road was a Jensen interceptor, parked nose in.

Every week in the same spot , this was at the height of the fuel crisis when a lot of big engined cars got taken off the road , in 5 years it never moved gradually getting dirtier

About 10 years ago I got diverted off the A14 through the same village , gobsmacked to see it was still there under a tarpaulin but that back window stood out. A couple of years ago the owner must've died and it came up for sale , or what was left of it did

Looked like it snapped in half when they pulled it out , apparently the owner had had numerous knocks on the door but wanted stupid money for it as it was an early mk1 so it rotted away instead

I wonder how much of it had blown away on its final journey , just 4 wheels and a drive train when he got off the motorway , there's no way I'd have transported that on an open truck ...

The owner replaced it with a Jag, I think, which is now rotting away in the same spot....

Can't believe someone actually imported one of these. The UK used car market keeps on giving!

That 12 is the sex.  No other words.  My Dad had a brown TS model and I wish we still had it.

In more realistic news, this bad motherfucker has been relisted and is currently sitting at £74 of your English BINS

I actually rather like this too.  Still looks smart in that colour, interior not too garish, and it has a six speed box.  BOOM!

And you get a fiver change from a monkey....

Eight forward gears.  My god, it’s full of win!

How about this?  Where else can you get INFINITE GEARS for a monkey and still get an Ayrton back?

Nice local [to me] Camry.  Shame they didn't do an estate version of this shape.

They did sell them in some markets, but more limited than the previous-gen version. Confusingly, also sold with Mark II badging, which as a saloon is a completely different RWD model.

That Norwich one looks alright.

I came here to post this fine specimen, pretty decent value I reckon with the low mileage. Strange that they did some of the late V6 models with steel wheels and velour interior, makes for a bit of a Q-car though especially in domestic appliance white. Spare wheel cover fabric looks to be intact, which is unusual and suggests it's led a fairly gentle life.

I have a Camry search on eBay and I'm amused to see nearly-new UK models making an appearance on there.

One of those utilitarian estates sold alongside my hatchback Sunny, from the days when the Japanese manufacturers often kept the previous-gen wagon running alongside the replacement saloon/hatchback:
