Some of them are 4x4 but it is one of those half-arsed arrangements where the front wheels are driven all of the time but the rear wheels are driven via a clutch that closes when " the system" senses a loss of front wheel grip. I tried one once, it was shit, not shite.

They do have a DeDion rear axle which makes them kinda unique nowadays though.

David Bailey is selling his 928.

No, seriously.  Yes, that David Bailey.

Pity we can't see the numberplate and track the MoT fail sheet.

David Bailey doesn't have quite the same cachet as George Harrison,  so the guff about it possibly being worth 36 grand if restored is pie in the sky.

I can see another AX with the 'A 10E AX' numberplate that was being advertised for a huge sum fairly recently. I think that seller has had both for a considerable time now, I do actually remember the 'Splash' appearing when it was still grubby from storage, for a lot less than the current advertised price.

A low mileage 11RE (33K or so) sold for £1170 on eBay not too long ago, so using that as a ballpark figure, this one is still about £800 overpriced, and it would need ticket.

The Splash wore the A 10E AX plate for a while. It's now on a Mk2. The splash belonged to Julian Pearson? The guy that used to post on here a fair bit and an incredible range of low mileage of seldom seen shite, including that unregistered Yugo Cabriolet. If you can find his thread you should see the AX - think it was pretty cheap

The fact the interior is retrimmed in abattoir gloves is much more disturbing than the exterior airbrushing.  Unless the airbrushing on the outside depicts the victims sadly lured into this murdersex van, then it's about on a par and a laudable piece of forward planning on the part of the creator.

given just how clean this gem looks, £4k seems very reasonable. been a '72 would this be front wheel drive?

be like Roger Moore, if you can find an AMC Matador In this country to chase (it was a Javelin he drove in "The Man With The Golden Gun" wasn't it?)

Probably weights the same as a block of flats, and the ply and wafer thin chequer plate 'bed' aren't going to hold much, but for what (assume) is a full MOT it seems pretty good VFM, despite the badge.

In Germany, but with English plates/papers - so tax it, insure it and drive home (maybe with European breakdown cover, eh) less than £4k.

Believe it's been sold now, that's what the vendor told me anyhow.
