A 164 that has done over 200,000 miles. Has appeal.

The basic steel wheels do suit it, although I thought 164s all had 5-stud wheels....? Also I thought that early 164s had masses of anonymous-looking switchgear in the central console, but this one seems to have got away without any.

Hyperbolic ad makes me think this will end up 'auction ended' before it gets to finish.  I remain to be pleasantly surprised.

The rear arches look like something we made out of papier mache in infants’ school but otherwise this looks quite appealing.98BF5331-F850-492D-B219-59CF90634C04.thumb.jpeg.a45b67d95c830c309ae33a38082c7ab6.jpeg

1.8GL for maximum unflappable, unpretentious British middle classness circa 1989.

What’s the equivalent now? A black 320d M Sport on 21” ninja throwing alloys? God help us.

Alternatively: "there were three of us in this marriage....."

We're spared a proper picture of the other side, but it looks slightly like a Pug dog listening to something through headphones.
