Where the fuck is this geezer finding these super clean Carina Es? He's had 3 of them over the past few months.

Prefacelift, 4 door executive 2.0. The stuff of wet dreams.

Moar German nonsense. 7 grand for a snotter that needs work is the going rate now. That is insane because they are expensive cnuts to repair and are rarely worth the effort because they are not rare and you get stung for parts and they refuse to stop falling apart.

But there you go, it's worth that price at this time. Here's a non start for 5 grand but you'll need that again and some hard work to get it on the road.

Never quite understood the point of having an upper seatbelt pivot that went all the way to the A-pillar....

It puts the seatbelt on for you, as you close the door the seatbelt moves back from the a pillar to a more normal resting place on the b pillar.

One of those crazy American legislative things I believe.

Yes. I learnt from Doug DeMuro that manufacturers had a choice between installing an airbag or this compulsory seatbelt design in late 80's early 90s. Many opted for the latter apparently. But this could be man on the internet talk.

Overbrook are well known for overpriced cars. They tried flipping the two CX Familiales from the JLR collection auction for about four times the prices they were bought for. That went well.

BTW, the silver Highline they're offering is probably the very last RHD one to be registered new in Britain, so maybe a bit of historical interest. Only two or three Highlines were late enough for the H-prefix plate; the others were mainly F or G. The front wings (£600+ plus VAT each, only available from BMW Mobile Tradition when not on back order, but someone did have a go at producing GRP wings) are the least of the potential problems.

GRP wings and other non-corroding parts here - Xmoor Cars effort.

By this age, I'd expect the ZF 4HP22 EH gearbox to be needing some attention, especially if the fluid and filter haven't been changed for a long while (must be done at least every 25,000 miles), but access is straightforward.

Does it have to be just cars? Well I've broke that rule before by posting tanks (That weren't even on eBay), so let me do that again but with something on eBay...

Something that we all need in our life, a pair of wings from a Panavia Tornado!

Yours for just £2,650!
