LightBulbFun Posted May 11, 2019 Share Posted May 11, 2019 you know its said the original rear lights on the Model 70 where borrowed from the Reliant Robin (and evidently kitten in this case) but the Reliant robin did not come out until 1973, where as the Model 70 came out in 1971 so is this an actual case of rear lights off an invacar? I sold it long a go and the guy who bought it has had 18 months loyal service, no real problems and it has passed two MOTs. It may be scabby but it’s actually a brilliant car. It’s solid in all the right places. Chances are it might go through very cheap as it looks pretty sorry for itself in the photos (it isn’t really, just scabby). I’m still in touch with the owner and he has had a great and remarkably inexpensive time with the car. Now it has an MOT. I talked to the seller during the previous auction, who revealed that the diff had gone and a replacement was included (he didn't put that in the listing mind!). So now it's for sale again with the MOT and the diff still gone. Would be the perfect XJR6 donor car.
