Citroën BX - Sandown - £850 On Alloys, £650 On Original Wheels

Regretfully, this has to go.

Needs rear compensator replacing (supplied), it leaks slowly so overnight the back drops to the floor.

Front compensator has recently started to leak but doesn't drop to the ground, have both compensators and a set of seals ready to go.

There is an issue with the cooling system, it doesn't overheat but it overpressurises the system so its suspected headgasket, could be something else but not had the time or interest to get it done.

Has budget carbon fiber(rust) on the rear quarters but from what I can see it's not a failable area, may be an advisory though.

Lacquer peel in places but never bothered me.

Pedal box was replaced last year as it had snapped.

Boost has been wound up to 21psi and it does a smoke, pulls really well and strong.

It's a total laugh to drive and handles remarkably well considering the suspension is disgusting and smelly fluid (LHM).

Easy 50mpg all day long and huge boot for those car part collections.

Comes with a box of spares.

You could easily sort the rear compensator and it would likely pass an mot, just carry water around with you for when it dumps out a litre.

£850 on the zender alloys with four new T1-R's or £650 on the standard steels with tzd covers.

That is looking seriously promising, probably worth a punt. If my XJR6 shifted anywhere I would almost be tempted to make an offer on it, alas zero interest in the XJR. My timing for attempting to sell and XJR6 turned out poor, since as soon as mine went on four, cheap examples in various states of disrepair flooded the market. Oh well.

Those Fiestas (further up page) do seem to attract owners who don't know what 'cleaning' means. Had two or three now that have been absolutely gopping inside.

The current millstone has one. In the 3 years she's had it not washed or hoovered once. Then she moaned at me for getting the interior dirty when I took some garden waste to the tip!

That's really is gorgeous but I've no where to keep it in the manor it should be kept in.

Not sure why I've never seen you and/or the Safrane about, I'm in Sidbury but have spent a long time in Seaton shooting for the Town Guide and photo'ing loads of events there.

Good luck with the sale!

Chaps, I've been offered a Lancia Y 1.2 for a grand, is that too salty and would anyone on here want it? It's now UK registered. I would jump at it but I'm about to buy a house and Mr Mortgage Broker will be looking very carefully at my spending habits...

Got a chance to drive one a few months ago and it was brilliant. I'm not particularly good at LHD manuals though....

That red BX is a bit expensive for likely HGF and the rust the seller describes. I know it's a Turbo diesel and that's all that matters apparently but just get a Xantia instead.

I guess that's because I very rarely use it,was going to try and do a few local car shows in it this year,if they accepted it.

Were the photos taken at Beer head carpark? I grew up in Seaton and the parents still live there. I'm not surprised you spent along time there shooting for the town guide as it must have been a struggle to find stuff -there is fxxk all there (Tram, beach Jurassic centre, jubilee gardens- can't think of anything else)!

You'd get so much pleasure from cleaning that, you could finish it off with a good old Stu_CDX-ing when nobody was looking.
