I do really want a V8 Tourer and have already been to see one that, although good value, was a bit of a wreck. I really want an SE spec though as it has full leather (along with other goodies) rather than the shitty quality half leather*, and a pre-facelift so it feels more like a cow than a wetsuit. They're proving hard to find so I was keeping an eye on this as the price travelled south. Problem is the front end in the pictures, even by later MGR standards, is appallingly aligned. After a bit of digging I found the owner on Facebook and when trawling though his wall stumbled across a blurry picture of a silver ZTT hanging over what appears to be a tyre-wall on a trackday....

Were there any pre-facelift V8s? 425th off the production line is probably in reality pre-launch production, Rover would have produced perhaps a couple of thousand ready for the launch so that every dealer could have some in the showroom and whoever had put their money down beforehand. True pre-production are often cubed because they don't meet type approval or to save on tax.

New one on me this model.  Had a look and it's based around the J-Body Chevrolet Cavalier.  That makes it an interesting* Calibra alternative

Looks clean inside and out too.

Top detective work skillz! I need to remove pics of my A610 doing an off at a hill climb before I sell the bugger!

Here’s one. It’s not an Estate mind, but an SE and perfect in every other respect... bar the price. £12000.

Crikey.  It's only gone and become

296ex5z.gifof nonsense from me.  I'm so sorry.

To celebrate, how about a forgotten 90s car with a 80s engine, the pre-widebodylift Alfa 155

Alfa Romeo 155 1.8 T.Spark

It has no cambelt, it’s a chain. It’s had no accidents or bumps or scrapes, it’s recently had a re-spray

Full service history

£3,500

I miss my old 155.  Doesn't seem expensive this one, what with the old 8v engine instead (late-plate madness) this MUST BE the most classic and collectable TIPO ever.  Probably.

Either I know this or it's Ghosty's old car.

This is indeed my old car.

Ad neglects to mention that the head gasket's been replaced, but the cambelt/exhaust are news to me (unless he thinks I did the cambelt, I didn't). Seems to be in much the same condition except there's a dog in it now and the repair to the arch has failed - but I think it was just fillered for the MOT. Sills seem to be going again too.

He's selling it at a loss as he only bought it off me for £400.
