panhard65
I still can't the grasp the concept of any Allegro being worth more than 1000 pounds.Same here there were 2 others a yellow one that had rotted out under the vinyl roof made £1500 and a tidy late 1500 that made £3200. They seem to be popular with the yougsters and are pretty decent old things but not at that sort of money.
cort16
I want a Z4 but can't afford it. I've been looking at Z3's in particular the 16v 138bhp ones as I can't afford a 2.8. Anyone owned one? Tadhg Tiogar
Not much info about the issues with it is there? These can be a world of pain though, you can guarantee a non restored one will have rust everywhere, much of it you'll never see until you delve deeper. I had one twenty years ago which Martin Buckley had restored and it was starting to rust again then. The Kugelfisher injection system is virtually impossible to set up without specialist help, of which there is very little. That said, probably my favourite car of all time. When I had one I felt like I'd arrived big time driving it.It still has MoT until 16th October, and VED expires in June. The point about adjusting ancient mechanical injection is valid but nowadays you have the option of converting to Megasquirt (other programmable injection systems are available). The Peugeot's MoT last year had the following: HGC382JPEUGEOT 504 ColourGreen Fuel typePetrol Date registered31 December 1971 MOT valid until16 October 2018 MOT HistoryMileage recorded at test, parts failed or had minor problems Date tested17 October 2017PASSMileage39,834 milesMOT test number6342 2355 3432Test locationunavailable until further noticeExpiry date16 October 2018 Advisory notice item(s)Nearside Front Outer Body has slight corrosion seal (6.1.B.2)Central Front Lower Body has slight corrosion (6.1.B.2)Offside Front Lower Body has slight corrosion seal (6.1.B.2)Central Front Lower Body has slight corrosion offside (6.1.B.2)Nearside Rear Lower Body has slight corrosion (6.1.B.2)Offside Rear Lower Body has slight corrosion (6.1.B.2)Nearside Front Suspension arm synthetic bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2)Offside Front Inner Track rod end ball joint has slight play bush deteriorated (2.2.B.1f)Oil leak ()

ETA some people "in the know" reckon manual six pot Z3s are going to.start climbing strongly in money soon, and are seen by many as an investment. cort16
