eBay tat volume 3.

I'm with spike60 on this one.  These are one of the few big-engined barges which work better as a manual than an auto.  I had a 3-litre Sportronic and it was pants - hopelessly undergeared and not particularly responsive.

How old was yours?  Alfa 166 used either an ZF unit (4spd) to 2002, then Aisin unit (5spd)

Odd that these same bought-in 'boxes worked ok in Volvos, Renaults, PSA, VAG, GM, Nissan, etc

£2,000 buys you a corrugated tin shed that someone's tried to open with a bleeding tin opener

You don't actually get the pick-up vehicle, just the scrap that's attached to the back.

Just far enough away to resist... only just. Being diesel is also holding me back, I've been putting petrol in things since I was seventeen so I expect I would get it wrong and Mrs DSdriver has got it wrong before in the DS.

Yes, you've reminded me of when I put £2.20 worth of diesel in a petrol car. Think I got away with it....
