The Chide of the Valkyries. Special hats off for making seat backs out of table tennis bats that look a bit like leather butterfly cakes. Or just absolute dog shit on toast.

'if you visit a bike show expect to be surrounded by...'

1) People pointing and laughing

2) Nobody

3) The Norfolk Drug Squad

4) Interested bikers

Number 4 being the least plausible.

This chap has managed to list this Scénic eleven times.  So he owes eBay £10 more in listing fees than his BIN price.  Superb.  The advert is complete dogshit too - appears to be a copy'n'paste from some random online car buying guide and then the Wikipedia page for the Scénic.

The mind boggles.

The best bit is this, though:

Located over 40 years in Tilehurst, Reading RG31 5AL, two miles from Junction 12 of M4 Motorway.

Which is Car Contacts, a local garage there.

However, the seller's eBay info is this:

Business seller information
SXDC
Mariusz Zuralski
358 City Road
Oldbury Tividale
West Midlands
B69 1QS

So he even copypasted part of a Car Contacts ad.

1967-1968 year car

tax exempt

with rebuilt 1995 components including engine and breaking systems and servo disks front brakes and

...seats and doorcards and lights and plastic arches and boot badges and steering wheel and column stalks and shroud and instruments and grille and foglight and side repeaters and

cat exhaust from 1995 passes mot emissions with no tuning

Since a 1967 car only requires a visual smoke test, I shouldn't be too surprised that your computer controlled fuel injection car with a catalyser can pass it.

I sent an offer of £1 "on the basis that it's obviously been ringed".

It would be a real shame if the seller was to be bombarded with similar offers and messages totally by coincidence.

I wouldn't mind so much if they actually put some effort into it. This, for instance:

1963 Austin MINI COOPER

It's got an airbag FFS

s-l500.jpg

and a British Leyland VIN plate. In 1963.

Of FFS. There's a good chance that doesn't even have any business being in the country in the first place if it's a mega late 98 or newer.
