Rave
Early Clio in dollywobbler land. Notable for being a 1.8 RT on nice alloys (best wheels for a Mk1 Clio IMO). s-l1600.jpeg Oh, and leather.. s-l1600-1.jpeg Failed MoT on some minor stuff. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Mark-1-Clio-for-spares-or-repair-leather-interior-1794CC-/122398099697?hash=item1c7f7ec8f1:g:sQEAAOSwuxFYyC8c I agree with Bol, that looks great. I've got a Mk1 Clio light stalk knocking around here somewhere, and the play in the steering is likely to be this: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=135&t=583719&i=0 ...a very common fault, and easily fixed with a sparkle stick, apparently. I'd buy it myself if I had a way to tow it. Anyone local got some storage space and an A-Frame? Edit: is 225 miles too far to drive for a pre-booked MOT, I wonder... Isn't it And its on an island as wellA very good friend of my mum had one from new. He never drove it, it was always garaged and had blankets over the seats, and he cycled to work in the hospital. When he retired in the 80s my mum did a tapestry for him including his Capri which she had sat in as student in the 60s. It was his baby really. Anyway, when he died with no family my dad thought he'd offer something for the car ( mid nineties now). Turned down by the executor saying it had to go auction. But it didn't, and the brother of the executor bought it for a song. I have all his chemistry text books but it's still annoying that we don't have the car because of a fiddle.
