What kind of a world is it when a 'built' Fox body is worth far less than a shoddy Mk2 Escort with a weedy 'Mexico' engine swap

To be fair, a £20 note has better torsional rigidity then a Fox body Mustang shell.

"Lads! 'Ere, we've got this porridge Fairmont, who cares if they're still selling cars based off it into the 'Noughties? Daft twats only want to go straight anyway....."

There was a bloke who used to go the breakfast meet in Wakefield who bracket raced a similarly aged Mustang; he'd launched it off the line hard so many times the shell had twisted enough to jam the nearside passenger door permanently shut.

Tape over the number plates in a desperate bid to stop people checking the MOT history? That's all I can think people are doing when they do that.

Also, even if I was interested in a 4WD Passat TDI, that seller wouldn't even get an email from me because of their twattish numberplate-covering tactics.

Not sure which monocoque shell is supposed to withstand repeated full blast takeoffs courtesy of a 600 foot pounds engine without warping.

That's why people participating in the sport usually brace them extensively.

Fox body flimsier than others? I call horseshit.

This thing had a bog basic 351 "with some fancy cams". That was it.

Its to stop the car being cloned you donkey. If seeing the MOT history is suddenly a deal breaker for you, you could easily go and view it or even ring the dude and ask what the reg number is.

I guess I'm just naive then. Didn't think cloning was that much of a problem. Although, I see the logic now. Searching online for a similar car is by far the easiest option.

I retract my statement.

Check out the power plant on the back of this bad boy. 25 HP Chrysler. My dad had the exact same outboard on his shite boat he had years ago. I remember it's maiden voyage (with us) lasting all of 25 seconds on the Conwy Estuary because the prop fell off.
