garethj
I'd love a Mk2 Escort, y'now, something like an RS1800 but they're well out of my price range now. I now live near Loughborough which isn't that far away. Trivia/name dropping - my mate from round the corner when we were kids is now internationally famous bass guitarist Tony Franklin who used to play with Jimmy Page in the The Firm and tweeted a video of him playing Running Up that Hill with Kate Bush and David Gilmour only today. My other mate from school was Paul Bayliss who is a local councillor and was leader of Derby City Council. I haven't seen either of them for years. barrett
Some decent old chod at the forthcoming Brightwells 'modern classics' (eugh) sale, though as usual with third-rate auction houses like this the estimates are all over the place and most of the entries are pure filler (in both senses). I'm going to try and get the ex-Stondon Astra as it is the near spit of the one I grew up with which formed most of my early motoring memories, so please nobody else bid on thathttp://www.brightwells.com/ClassicCarsMotorcyclesAutomobilia/ClassicVehicles/ModernClassicsCatalogue.aspx Rusty_Rocket, trigger, Alexg and 2 others
