right....so thew mark 3 is or can be every bit as rusty as the mark 2 can be (which is a lot....). joy!

how much is a second hand engine for a mark 2 MX5?

the car itself it £390. and its in  Redcar, that is 3 miles away from home.

It's at Marske. MC in Mccaffordablecars is better known as Mike Comerford for those with a good memory.

I hope this picture works because you don't want to read this ad

At what point did whoever built this think "Yeah, that's done, I'm really proud of myself".

Because some should have staged some kind of intervention at that point.

Still wood though. My handbag is full of eels. There's blancmange. Mmmm strawberrys. etc.

according to the advert "sombrero beige"

no, i've never heard of it either.

its not quite pink, not quite bronze or copper.

it must be one of the odd metallics BL used to do.

i really like it though, it suits the car, and is "of its time" been 1980.

i think i'm going to have a bid on that metro, i've added it to my watch list.

If that's the worst bit of it....

It really is fabulous in that trim and colour, but it would have to be a garage queen to keep it that good which I don't have room for too many spares, cars not enough cash etc.

It must be worth 2k though at least.

Oh and don't try to drive it home, it's on original tyres!

€1900, no bids.

Speaking of German eBay...

The car was previously in top condition.

It still looks pretty good! The door's a slightly different shade of red, but other than that, not bad! Let's look at picture two anyway.

Oh no, it's okay, the door is the right colour.
