2.0 16 V (assume ecotec) and an auto.

I'd like a 2.6 V6 Auto 4x4 version but they never did one.

I'm not sure if this is a re-post or not, either way it deserves to be on here again. It comes in under budget for my new daily hack(just) :-D

Although I couldn't bring myself to use it as a daily hack, because it's bloody lovely. Just look at it!

Those wheels need to get in the sea though.  Must be Kent alloys.

That's been for sale for AGES.  I still want the rear window louvre off it.

While stateside, in the Pacific Norther west Coast, I've always saw a handful of these.

Trying to get a photo of one was hard as the owner was always next to it and trying to take a sneak photo was impossible for that reason. The GF, who's local to there, was confused as to why I wanted a photo of one as "Its some convertible Toyota shite" (say that in a US Cali accent, I've taught her well!)

I'm sure the Buick Cascada has taken its role as the generic convertible of choice for rental companies...

On the topic of Austin Maxi's, I've just found this one:

This is on Trade Me, effectively a New Zealand version of eBay where I would guess most private carsales are facilitated through.

It looks absolutely mint. If I could afford a second car to have as a non-daily driver, I absolutely would be ringing the seller right away. What a beauty. One of the few Maxi's I've seen for sale here (Maybe 5 come up for sale a year in New Zealand on a good year?) with the parcel tray still present.

Being a 1750 it should have rod gear change instead of the cables?

Hopefully it drives better than the last Maxi I drove!

Maybe a replacement for Mr Hubnut if he  decides to leave the BX on the North Island as talked about on YT.

That would be an excellent idea :-D

I'd love to see (And I'm sure I'm not alone on here) a few more videos of a Maxi, this time on a back drop of terrific scenery. And those E-Series engines really do sing, it's a fantastic sound.

......And on that note, on the Maxi road test Hubnut did (Which I thoroughly enjoyed, no criticism here), there was no wiper/triangle of doom test! :( Time for round two, Hubnut? ;)

i'm seriously thinking of going to look at this. with a view to replacing the Rover with it, cos i  like these Camrys, and the Rover, well after 187,000 miles and counting, its starting to feel old, and become a money pit.

its got the proper engine and gearbox, one owner, history, and a super clean mot history.

the only issue is the "cat d" on the hpi check, though on a car of this age that could be anything, even that scrape down the n/s back bumper......

its a nice colour too.

RobT is selling his wafty Volvo for £500?

kerry has a thing about Volvo's.

see, years and years ago the then brother-in-law dragged a volvo 244 out of a scrap yard and put it back on the road, for a short time......

the resulting psychological damage from this car has menst Kerry comes out in a sweat if you even mention owning a Volvo.

and i like that shape Camry.

This was on ebay last month and the month before. I posted it as he said "just passed mot with no drama ". It failed on a burst brake pipe. Each time the auction ended this supposed* trader still hadn't fixed the leak so it was still mot-less.

* listed name was some sort of car sales.

My Camry stopgap lasted 7 years and I was genuinely sad to see it go.

That one looks lovely, do it. ?

Given how little was in the coffers at ARG, yes - Id have thought the design brief would have included "no major panel changes"

Or reverse it into a wheely bin and paint it yellow. Win.
