Hallo peeps.

Discussions have been discussed and we have decided there will be a Cannock meet on Saturday 23rd March featuring Scotoshite and The Midlands Massiv.

Usual format to ensue. Meet Friday evening for a dinner, stay the night, 0900 at The Trucker's Rest for breakfast then round to the auctions for the auction game. Afternoon activity up for discussion as usual.

Interest?

EDIT!
Normal format to ensue. Date now Sat 7th September 2019 for the main event. Scotland will stay over at Premier Inn Cannock South on Friday 6th. See here -

Bit tricky as it's the same weekend as the NEC Restoration Show - which generally has more shite than the November show. I'm not yet entirely sure of my plans, so possibly, but might only be breakfast.

Ooh. There is a possibility of me being on Brussels by then. If not (I plan to be there for the end of March anyway) then I'll mosey on up in the Vectra of DOOOM.

I'll try and swing by, probably with the kids in tow.  I was going to suggest The Chasewater Railway afterwards but it'll still be on the winter timetable which is Sundays only.  Maybe later in the year.

I think I'll have space in my arteries for a trucker's breakfast closely followed by a DETHBURGA (washed down by a cup of coffee with a teabag in)

Could be up for this, though work will most likely keep me away from the meal and pub on Friday night, worst luck.

If a SCTSH is coming, I think Reb said he had some 850 floormats spare. Any chance of a shitely?

I hope to attend!!

I hand in my dissertation on the 12th so what better way to celebrate than to attend the auctions and accidentally buy some shite have a wander around some tat in hopefully warmer weather!

Mrs K didn't understand it at all when I came last time;  not sure that further education will sink in .

Possible attendee.

As a side note. Anyone going to run a £7 roffle for the unknown car purchase like last time.

That would put just over £400 in the kitty, to see if you can get Billy a matching pug convertible or similar.

At this rate I may end up coming to look for a new car

You nearly accidentally bought something last time, just do what you did then and see what you get :-D.

It's months away, you'll have bought at least three more cars by then anyway!

Sadly I will not be able to attend as I am exhibiting in the NEC all weekend.

On that note I MAY have a few passes available, but numbers have not been finalised yet

Have just booked Cannock South for the Friday night - £29! Bargain.

I'll join the fun on the Friday night, possibly do breakfast and then hot-foot it back to the NEC.

Herr cms206 requested a family room in the off chance he can get the time off. Bro rml2345 has stated that it will depend on new shifts kicking off in the next week or two.

Found some book shite to bring for swaps or give away, starting with a ‘Train Recognition Guide’ from 2005, so you can tell one awful looking Yank diesel loco from another.

Guy Martin’s original autobiography, paperback from around 2014. Actually a pretty good read.

Book about Michael Faraday rescued from a pile of stuff about to be recycled by my dad. Has to be 1950s.

Some motorcycle magazines, mainly Bike, Ride from last couple of years but also a Classic Bike from the late 1970s.

Also some old amateur radio books - is anybody into this? Old as in 1949, 1961, 1968 and 1980, all from the ARRL, the Yank equivalent of Radio Society of GB.

As ever call dibs on here if anything’s of particular interest. If I find anything else I’ll update this thread.

I'd like the Guy Martin book if that's ok? I will have entirely forgotten saying this by Cannock.
