sporty-shite
That 1989 Continental is proof, if any were needed, that the late 1980s were spectacularly shit.

inconsistant
The Porsche 356 was road certified in Austria and Germany in 1948. Maybe they based their celebration on this last year. The company is 70 this year, though, and this is celebrated as well. I understood the Porsche 70th anniversary being 70 years of building Porsche badged cars. There was a cool Porsche festival at Brands last year where that 919 mentioned earlier horned around the Indy track, doing 200mph at the end of the main straight and 39 sec laps which I think is quite good. 20 secs faster than the 924s that were racing. And they had one of the first bunch of 356s from 1948, built to Autoshite colours obvs:
inconsistant
This year is also the 40th Anniversary of what is now one of the rarest Porsches out there, the 924 Turbo.
