Junkman
It's true! For its tenth anniversary the car that wasn't really a car and shouldn't have been built in the first place got its own marque. It also got a big brother: Now that one weirdly remained an Austin for a while, just to confuse the living shit out of everybody for no fucking reason. In further news, an English sports car was finally fitted with an engine sporting the correct cylinder count. Following VW's example from the year before, an English car manufacturer also launched a 411: Another English car maker asked the Germans what to do and was thusly advised: Meanwhile the inmates did weird stuff in André's Asylum, as usual. La Regie unleashed what is arguably the first global car. Peugeot pimped the 204. Ford (Europe) knew exactly what they were doing, not like nowadays. Fiat pressed rust particles into car shapes. The new Ferraris had to be parked on kitty litter due to their incredible incontinence. . VW launched a car that wasn't a VW. Or a Porsche. Or an aeroplane. Or whatever. VW launched another car that wasn't a VW. The Europeans actually flew a passenger aeroplane at mach 2 while the Yanks are unable to prove that they flew something to the Moon that actually can't fly to the Moon. dollywobbler, Squire_Dawson, catsinthewelder and 29 others
vulgalour
1969 (nice), the year that Czechoslovakia released the Skoda 100 Italy released a car with a stupid face in the form of the weirdly named Iso Lele. And America released yet another car for people who didn't believe in contraception or any form of moderation with the Chevrolet Kingswood. wuvvum
For some reason I thought the Renault 6 turned 50 this year, but I've just checked and it was actually last year. Strange, I don't recall reading about any celebrations. Mine is a spring chicken anyway at a mere 47. egg and Bamboocarman
