Shirley Knott
Excellent progression of the original thread, all shites in one basket makes things much easier to keep track of. RE the 19, I like the seats. They remind me of something you might have seen in an early nineties airport lounge which is a good thing obviously. bramz7
Glad to see it has remained on the forum, and I did enjoy driving it 300 miles to you. The strut brace is original, although I believe it was reserved for sporty 19s at this stage. All of the preface lift cars had it though.... Jim Bell
Lifted the shitty old universal thick rubber mats up and was amazed at how fresh the carpets actually are. Also noted that the thick rubber mat was robbing the throttle pedal of its last portion of travel. We can't have that. Out the old thick universal mats came, and some old SLK ones are in there till I can find something more period and in keeping. And rubber. I know I probably go on a bit much about floor mats, and for that I do apologize. Split_Pin, Lord Sterling, Tamworthbay and 8 others

paulscavalier
I like that. I remember the Renault 19 in the btcc in 1993. They only were used in 1993 but they weren't half bad Burnside
balford
Passed my test in a 19 Chamade 2.0D, non-turbo naturally. Impossible to stall, about the engine's only redeeming quality. Had leccy windows and central locking long before they became the norm though. Possibly why I've been attracted to Frenchies since. Jim Bell
Ran the 19 up to the Chollerford AS meet today, via Morpeth and Bellingham. It had some hooning and a long stretch on the dual carriageway. Drove great all the way and I don't think it's even been that heavy on the juice. Hypermarket Warrior. I topped it before I set off and we've had that many miles on that much pez. Not doing too badly. Be interesting to see what the maths are on a full tank. Nyc 2 dive. Speed filth. tobyd
what does the gauge that isn't the speedo, tacho, temperature or fuel do? measures rectangles on an arbitrary scale by the looks of it?
Jim Bell
what does the gauge that isn't the speedo, tacho, temperature or fuel do? measures rectangles on an arbitrary scale by the looks of it? Theres a video of it further up the thread. Its an Oil Level gauge. It tells you your oil level at position 2 on the ignition, then turns off when you start it, as there wont be a measurable level of oil in the sump with the motor running.
