Happy to report JB is now the custodian of this fine automobile, which I feel is destined to become another AS bike, having been owned by three of us already, with #4 having first dibs when Jim decides to sell.

It was down to me to supply the obligatory pez  station shot. The expression on the face is, 'Is there a fucking hole in this thing?' as somewhere as close to £70 got sloshed into a tank that was already 1/4 full.

I checked, it holds 70 litres, or 15 1/2 gallons in old money.

Chodspeed Sir. It was good to meet you again, if only briefly, hope you enjoy the old jalopy as much as I did. ?

Great to see you again man. We nearly sold it to some Peugeot employees in that filling station. It was very popular.

Well, 178 miles later and I'm home.

High on the a69.

Had an interesting drive home. At the first services (after about 50 miles) I noticed coolant on the ground as I reversed out of the parking bay.

Not a great deal, but some.

So I stopped at the next services to buy a load of h2OHMG water just in case. The car behaved impeccably at the second services.

I stopped again up on the A69 just to check it and noticed straight away it was leaking again.

Again, not much, but dropping.

I had about an hour to go at this point soldiered on.

Ran at normal road speed, straight back home.

Left it running for a while when I got home and had a look underneath. Bone dry.

Not sure what's going on. It never got hot, stayed bang dead level on the gauge the whole way. I couldn't see where it was leaking from but dropping near the inside of the driver's side wheel.

It's a mystery to be investigated.

Made it home safe anyway.

It rides amazing, the seats are very very comfortable and it breaks well enough.

The steering is light enough and feels great.

The 1.6 is a bit underwhelming (think it was in the 205) but it gets you there. It's revy enough and never feels too laboured getting up to cruising speed.

Was a lovely drive down the m74 and over the a69 in this fine weather and I really enjoyed the run.

Glad to hear you had a good run back, although the dripping coolant's a surprise, I've never noticed pools of anything underneath it, and I have looked.
Maybe a long fast run of the sort it never got with me is forcing a dribble out somewhere?  ISTR reading the Haynes manual these things take 4-5 litres of coolant so it probably won't miss the odd cupful.

The sunroof got a blast of silicone spray when I first got the car and it gets used fairly regularly.

I'd be happy to see either of them tbf! Probably the Lincoln, unless I have the Merc reassembled in time which is pretty unlikely at the current pace.

Ah sweet!

I've still never had a go of THE BIG DOG.

A handsome purchase indeed.

Possibly the waterpump leaking only when it cools? Being French hopefully driven off the aux belt.

That would make sense, but it doesn't leak every time. Which is puzzling . I'll keep an eye on it/investigate further.
