I have a bit of an obsession growing with these.

The Panda Multijet represents a far better spiritual successor to the likes of the 106 1.5D  and the Lupo/Arosa SDI than the UP/C1 ever could I think.

Agree.

You're welcome to a blast to see what you think of them.

I had a shot of this last Wednesday and was more than a little impressed.

Me too, it's everything the Jazz wasn't-poke, character, decent steering.

I also noticed something sticking into my bum but I hadn't met @Jim Bell before so I thought it was just him being friendly

So what's there not to like?

There is an amateur seat repair patch on the driver's seat base.

There are some stone chips on the bumper.  Very slight crease in rear arch.

There is a hesitation on partial throttle which is more than likely a sticky turbo wastegate actuator arm. Discussed all over the internet, just Google 1.3 multijet boost lag.

It's been no issue for me and I've just driven around it. It's my dailly and only car, it drove up from Sussex under @Bucketeer and has recently been up to Scotoshite north of the border 300 odd miles round trip under me. I'd drive it to the Arctic circle as is but best to mention it.

Location is North East England NE34 postcode.

Price is £1000.

A bit much for Autoshite, but it's good and they do hold value.

No swaps or part exes please. I've already replaced it.

You're dead to me.

He's spent the last month looking at 4x4 pandas because of you, and @task had a lucky escape this morning from being roped into helping with collecting an MOT less wonder.   Give the lad a break, at least until you see what he's got.

Is it euro 4 compliant ?.

If only i did not have 2 young kids, an ill dog and no time, otherwise i could see a great long weekend collection tour happening.

1) Because I dont know, I'll say YES. YES it is.

2) Genuinely cant think of any better reasons to swan off to northern England for a couple of days.

Change the oil regularly chaps to avoid timing chain issues as the chain is lightweight (it was the smallest twin cam 16 valve diesel in the world and possibly still is) and the tensioner is hydraulic.

Also block the tiny drain from the scuttle panel where the water drops onto a wiring loom beneath. I seem to remember something happening with mine (and other cars) where if parked facing uphill (or downhill - one or the other) water could find its way into the airbox and cause a hydraulic lock of the engine if left long enough as care needs to be taken to ensure the airbox lid fits perfectly.

If the turbo wastegate seizes (cue EML light on trying to boot it up hills) you can free it/work it by levering it with a pry bar and lubricating it with silicone spray or suchlike.

I had one for a couple of years. Once traveled to somewhere near Hastings from Newcastle upon Tyne on about £20 of diesel at a computer indicated 85mpg by keeping up with the trucks in the inside lane when I had all day to do the journey.

Loved it but I find the 1.1 Active to be more fun as it’s got an unburstable engine that somehow feels more flexible than the multijet which is rather laggy, and easy to find yourself in the wrong gear.

For long journeys a taller 5th or a 6th gear would have been great as economy really suffers with speed.

Still, all-round a fab car.

GLWS!

It was a dark, cold, stormy evening in February and the rain drummed sideways against the flat panes of my living room window.

Lightening flashed across the obsidian canopy of night, illuminating my computer screen (which was also back-lit, but the battery was getting low so it was quite dim).

I blinked at a picture of a car and my lips mouthed a lustful lament.

Not one to rain on parades etc, but have you seen the weather forecast for tomorrow?
I haven't checked myself, but I heard something on the wireless earlier about storm something or other.

I'll put my biggest tampon in, wear two pairs of socks and face the prick head on.

There's no going back now.
