It was a good day out though, I'd certainly go again.

I reckon the Bentley T1 was a good buy as it was up with a full MoT, didn't look full of wob, and I watched the new owner drive off in serene comfort. Could've shat itself 3 miles down the road of course!

Looks like a dealer thought the T-Type a good buy. It's popped up again here:

1968 Bentley T1 - Williams Classics

Nice profit if it goes out the door at anywhere near that.

For anyone who doesn't feel like they can wait another three weeks for their next dose of East Anglian classic auctioneering, there is a classic auction at Wymondham next Saturday.  It's a completely different kettle of fish to KL, much smaller and the cars tend to be lower end (a bit like KL used to be before Clarkson & co showed up, in fact), but there's usually a bit of autojumble (including the indefatigable Margaret Motors, still selling overpriced classic car handbooks from the back of her LT van even though she must be at least 140 by now), and there are a few potential gems in the catalogue.

And for lovers of two-wheeled chod - it's only a fugging Salient!

That does look like a decent auction, with some nice cars going through. It is a shame that I am working next Saturday, as it would have been worth a trip to compare it to Kings Lynn.

It looks like there are some interesting lots going through Kings Lynn though. This bronze Maxi could be of interest to some of us on here, and has no reserve.

This 2.8 Granada looks very smart, but will undoubtedly have high levels of Ford Scene Tax levied upon it.

And I hope this low mileage jelly-mould Passat will escape the fate of being pineappled.

  • 3 weeks later...

This minty looking, 13,000 mile Clubman has a modest estimate. But then it does have the abysmal auto 'box.

Please note: this car has a gearbox fault

Possibly why its estimate is so low. Perfect contender for a 1098cc retrofit!

Not sure I really want to know. If under £5.5k I'd be wishing I was there!

I very much doubt it would go for less than that considering the strong prices everything else was going for today. Plus quite a few people were having a decent look whilst we were there, so there would have been a bit of competition.
