Ramrod's Disorganised Diecast Sale

Recommended Posts

Copied over from Shite In Miniature...

Note for future reference...  I've decided most of my Matchbox (-sized) cars can go.  It's a vast collection,   Most have been repainted at least once - by me, obviously.  My eyes and hand aren't good enough to do them again.  I've got way too many to list so ask if there's something you want and if I've got it, we can do a deal.  Most will be 50p each plus postage, so it'll make sense to build up a parcel.

I thought it best to do this, then I'm not clogging up the main thread.  This could well go on for months.

Any Majorettes or Spanish - made items Eddy?

Yes.  Majorettes at least, don't think I've got anything Spanish.

Anything Vauxhall/Opel? 70s-90s?

At the very least there's a ~Cavalier3/Ascona saloon.  Don't think there will be much else.

Any Mercedes saloons?

Not many but it's likely I have one or two.

Any Lone-Star Impy or Roadmaster, Eddy?   Any condition as I can use them for spares....

Definitely, and mostly fairly good, amazingly.

Any 80’s-90’s BMW’s?

From memory, don't think so, but don't give up hope.

Hi Eddy,

you got any Bedfords in amongst those Matchbox  cars?

thanks Jo x

You mean the CA van/milk float, or Bedford TKs?  There are definitely TKs...

Anything Lesney/Matchbox would pique my interest.  I'm most keen on early Superfast, 70s wedges, and Rolamatics, from the Matchbox ranges.  Anything Lesney, regardless of condition, is welcome.  Broken stuff, plastic accessories, etc. also of use, even if it's been overpainted, as it can help sort out broken stuff I already have.

List, he says.  You'll be lucky, almost all of them are in big boxes in my lockup at the moment.  Dinky will be big enough for me to deal with so they're staying.  Until my eyes deteriorate some more.

Did you have a matchbox ford prefect or Wolsley 1500?

I used to have decent collection but my dad sold it thinking they were his.

Pretty sure I have the Wolseley but not the Prefect.

 mainly the TK. :-)

Good news, I've already found a TK on my shelves.  It's a BP tanker with a tilt cab, which I think should have an interior but doesn't.  It also doesn't have all the decals it should, but I have a feeling you won't mind that.  Somewhere there will also be at least one Husky TK skip wagon, without skip.

I've been photographing some bigger models today; all 1/18 scale..  Of the five on offer, three have their original boxes.  I'll find suitable boxes for the other two as needed.  Prices are PLUS POSTAGE.

Let's start with the cheapest.  I've got a very dusty 1930s Alfa Romeo.

No box with this one but it does seem to be complete, as far as I can tell.  Except for the decals, which have suffered.  Someone want it for a fiver?

Next up is a 1973 Cadillac!  Sadly not a Coupe deVille but an Eldorado, in beige.

No box again, and I'm sure you've noticed it's missing part of a front indicator.  Because of that, this one is also a fiver.  I'm taking a loss.

Now we're into the boxed cars and they're all the same price, £20 each.  These are all in excellent condition, bordering on mint, although they have spent their lives out of their boxes on display.

2000 Cadillac sedan, brought home from Lanzarote.

1930s Mercedes 540K.  Stylish, elegant, but just doesn't get the displaying it deserves.

As with all the models I'm offering, you can bypass the cost of postage by simply showing up at my door and taking your purchases away in person.  Bonus cuppa included!

My attempt at living a shite free life has failed. Trawling e bay/ gumtree again etc but I thought I'd put out a wanted ad here. I've been browsing the for sale threads, but is there anything your thinking of moving on and would like to keep in the fold and have a hassle free sale? I'd consider anything but something fundamentally ok with a bit of MOT would be great. There is a bit of a strange condition- unusually I'm free this Wednesday and rarely at all other times- so being able to collect during the day this Wednesday would be perfect.

Going to try this on here before the fun that is eBay or similar.

My mum has recently replaced her trusty old SportKa with a newer 500 and currently it’s just sat in the garage.

It’s only done 38k with I think mum being the third owner plus a very large file of bills. As you can see from the MOT history ‘a lot’ of miles have been done in the last few years....! Has the leather interior, an aftermarket Bluetooth kit, Air Con that works and four good tyres plus working remote key.

It has had some attention by a welder in the past but the filler area is solid and other than a few obvious bits on the sills and corners of the rear bumpers is in nice condition.

If anyone is interested please let me know. I’m back there later this week so can look at the paperwork or anything else on the car in more detail.

      She’s looking for about £750-800.

Car is currently SORN and located in deepest Lincolnshire (near Spilsby).

Well, OK, just a few brochures for sale, after having sorted through my pile over Christmas.

The postage price will vary according to weight, so the prices below exclude postage - we'll sort this out in PMs. Obviously, if anyone wants more than one, I'll send them together. All are in excellent condition, with some very minor age related creases.
