chadders
Our Pluriel has now decided to develop a minor(ish) radiator leak - it lets water in through the boot and virtually everywhere else so I suppose it feels that it has to balance this with getting rid of some water that it actually needs. I was going to buy Radweld as I used to use it many years ago but now find that there's Radweld Plus along with Wynns etc. etc. What do you guys recommend? Rocket88
If you can see where it's leaking from...chemical metal /Araldite...........modern stuff doesn't seem too keen on products lobbed into the coolant.......... lisbon_road

The Moog
Radiator best idea or for quick fix - Forte stop leak as it doesn't block the heater rmatrix twosmoke300
chadders
That sounds good as we don't want to fix one problem to cause another.
MrParody
A radiator specialist recommended ginger, the spice, to me; about half an egg cup full is all that was required to stop an unidentifiable loss of radiator coolant. And it worked. Lacquer Peel
The Moog
That's quite an impressive trick if it works.
lisbon_road
Do you chop the ginger up? Presumably you don't just put a lump in.

MorrisItalSLX
I’m assuming the ginger is in powdered or minced form, that way it can mix with the coolant. Does it make the heater smell of ginger? People will think your the Chinese restaurant delivery boy!
Samuel_Pepys_Esq
When mine Austyn Maestro Vanden Plas didst suffer unexplain'd coolant loss, that couldst not be trac'd, mine mechanick at Covent Garden didst crack the egge of a guinea-fowle into the expansion-tanke. That did fucke-all, so next he apply'd a mustard-poultice to the radiatour, that did give off most noisome stynk, and still the leake didst persiste. Finallye, I didst take mine conveyance to a specialiste that didst diagnose an evil-eye, and he hadde the old womyn that didst live at the foot of the stairs burned upon a pyre as a wytch. That did seem to fixe the bastard, most curiously. I wouldst try that nexte. egg, Split_Pin, dome and 11 others 12
chadders
Given that Pluriels are already cursed would that also fix the water leaks as well? I can think of a couple of snooty old hags in the village that would improve things by being burnt. (do you put their ashes into the radiator to seal it or is the act of burning them enough?) davehedgehog31, Samuel_Pepys_Esq and stonedagain

The ashyes were flung into the Mighty Thames, for I hadde it on goode authoritye from a retir'd wytch-fynder, that mortal remaynes of the consorts of Satan do fucke-up thy water-pumpe, and cause grievous wear to the bearinges therein.
