Seems someone put the wrong code it far too many times. Also I dont have a code.

Do any Vauxhall geniuses know of a way to get around this, or is it just for the skip now?

I dont like the look of the tooling for removal and the slot looks slightly smaller than single din.

Do you have the right code?

Press and hold AS with the ignition on to get it out of safe

Edit - no code, I guess someone will have a calculator but you’ll need to remove the radio. Tools on eBay for a couple of quid, you just need to remove the grub screws first

Beaten to it but was going to say all Vauxhalls of that era have a 'car pass' with all that sort of info, on it, key codes, immobiliser codes etc. That other card with key number on it is probably reduntant now as its the code for the locking wheel nut removal key.

Although it doesnt look like it, the radio is din size, I had the Delco CDR500 in an Astra mk4 and swapped it out for an Alpine unit no bother, straight swap with no messing about.

Ok here's possibly a very stupid question  I've bought in a fiesta with allegedly a knackered clutch, having a closer look today there is zero drive i.e. even starting it in gear results in no movement, gear selector sounds like it's doing it's thang. Why do I have no drive baby ???? has the gearbox itself shat itself ?

Hydraulic clutch on these things btw

Could be a drive shaft in trouble. If one side strips it's splines at the CV joint then no drive.See if one driveshaft turns when the clutch is let in.

Wouldn't I still get some form of vehicle movement from the other shaft ?

That's what happens when a clutch is well and truely knackered! Other option is that it's ripped the centre of out the clutch
