Good question. I always wanted a Corolla GT Coupe

ToyotaAE86_002.jpg

-They are absurd money nowadays so that ship has sailed (Sailed, run into difficulty in the North Atlantic, sunk and is now a man made reef).

Wanted;

P10 Primera ZX or eGT 4-Door

8d95a3f0-d4ae-4cb7-bbbf-b75f4bf0f8af.lar

Carina E GTi 4 Door

Finding either of these in un-fucked condition is unlikely, even on Japanese import auction sites, so I'd have to settle for a 5 door or a high spec Carina (like a CDX or Executive). So long as it isn't red. I hate red.

Last one as a curve ball; imported Corona Exiv 200 GT;

Not sure if I CBA'd with something so utterly different though. It would only take some prick in Asda to shunt in to it to ruin your life.

I know I'll probably get told they're shit but here goes -  A Citroen DS, probably a 21 and a Citroen SM.

And actually, if someone gave me a mint Austin Maxi in a good colour I'd happily tool about in that.

Other than that I'm quite happy shitting myself on wet motorways in my GT 86.

Thankfully, I scratched the DS itch and I loved mine to bits.

I have agreed* with Mrs BN that when I start driving again (eta this month) a 245 (ideally a GLT) and maybe* an MGF will come to BNtowers. that said, an acquaintance just acquired a really nice 190E.....

But if a Peugeot 404 saloon in RHD turned up that would do it, but I doubt these even exist now.

Let's see, my ultimate fantasy lottery win garage would certainly contain all of these:

  • Gordon-Keeble
  • Jensen FF
  • Triumph 2500S estate
  • MG ZT-T 385
  • Rover SD1 3500 estate
  • Citroen SM Opera
  • NSU Ro80
  • Chevrolet Firenza Can Am
  • Isuzu 117 Coupe
  • Fiat 130 and/or Peugeot 504 Coupe
  • Audi 200 Avant Quattro Turbo
  • BMW 3.0 saloon or maybe an early 6-series
  • Volvo P1800ES
  • Sunbeam Tiger
  • Citroen Xantia Activa
  • Austin 3-litre
  • Panther Six, just for its sheer unashamed vulgarity
  • Talbot Alpine Rapier (the first childhood car I remember, gold with matching velour!)

Until recently I would have also said a Range Rover Classic but then I drove one and it really disappointed me so I'll have the SD1 estate instead.

You could (routemaster enthusiasts look away now) convert that so you could drive the Invacar into the back, like The Italian Job, and the rest of the bus into living quarters, then roam around the country like The Littlest Hobo fighting crime and solving problems.
