Heidel_Kakao
Not much to say about this really, has MOT till 27-02-2019. It's been perfectly reliable all the time I have owned it and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it any distance. It's a bit scruffy, exhaust is blowing and one of the tyres has a slow puncture and being honest it's not particularly economical in the fuel consumption department. Is located in Brierley Hill, DY5 postcode. Thanks for looking Aston Martin, worldofceri, Vandakn and 6 others

Tamworthbay
Fantastic cars, mpg isn’t great but isn’t that bad compared to a lot of premium brands offerings. Mine would happily do well over 30 on a run which is acceptable.
loserone
+1, nice cars. I found my na Impreza adequate rather than fast, and the car could clearly take a lot more. Which is why I have a spec B now. This one looks clean and will be a fine WBoD All Subarus get the same fuel economy, so don't assume it'll be better than a 3.0 or a turbo one. Datsuncog
Getting rarer, these - and seems a very fair price for quite a usable old thing. I tried to maximise the fuel consumption on my Forester XT by driving it everywhere very very gently and not making short hops etc, but then worked out there's only about 3mpg difference between giffering about the place (32mpg) and hooning it at every opportunity (29mpg). So guess what I do now... GLWTS! Laseraligningfoofooflanges, chodweaver, robinmasters and 2 others

Jazoli
Been told you can swap the manifold from a loudy one onto one of these and you’ll get the same sound....Does the manifold off a louder one not have a turbo bolted to it? They_all_do_that_sir
Been told you can swap the manifold from a loudy one onto one of these and you’ll get the same sound....Sort of correct The N/A downpipes are equal length (or close to being so) The turbo downpipes are unequal length, so the exhaust gases from the two banks are out of phase, and you get that distinctive burble noise. You could possibly use turbo downpipes and fabricate something to fill the gap where the turbo should be, or you can get unequal length downpipes specifically for the N/A engine but probably aren't worth the cost. Added to which equal length downpipes are better for power, which is why a lot of seriously tuned turbo Imprezas lose their burble.... On the N/A cars the boy racer brigade usually don't go much further than fitting a massive rear silencer so just get a drone. But you can buy these: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F321019865705 https://youtu.be/kGIOfjhL8QY Again it's a pointless mod Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk

One fella we used to knock around with transplanted an entire interior, bodykit, wheels, bonnet etc and done the full STI sticker job on a 1.6. My rover was still quicker...... We did get the odd strange spec imported from the south of Ireland, 1.6 LX 3 door for example Sent from my TA-1012 using Tapatalk

They_all_do_that_sir
Outside the turbot the Impreza sold over here on value for money and reliability, quite a few giffers bought the boggo 1.6 and wouldn't have stumped up for FWD. quite a few fwd ones did find homes with rural folk, but they lost out big time by not having a diesel - in rural Ireland derv is a religion.
