Shirley Knott
That looks great, seems to me it has the perfect combination of old-tech diesel technology and eighties airport lounge style seats. davehedgehog31
It done circa 64mpg on the run up the road and subsequent pootling, pretty good going! Three issues were apparent: - Front tyres somewhat slick - Bootlid doesnt sit flush and flaps about - Possible wheel bearing, may be tyre roar from aforementioned fucked fronts. Boot issue was resolved this morning, two 10mm bolts on the striker plate, nudge down and retightened and it's right as rain. My kind of fix. Daviemck2006
That would look great with a set of genuine 14" GTI speed lines on it. davehedgehog31
New head unit popped in, courtesy of Monsieur @rml2345, ta again Sir. Major surgery required to get the old one out thanks to some hideous 90s security cage. Amazingly I got it all back together without bursting anything and with no screws left over! Had a set of much too small JVC speakers lying about, the ones in place were a bit done. If you look closely you'll see these have been ingeniously secured. Split_Pin
Until I saw the JVC logo I thought that last picture was of a cable-tied strut top mount. davehedgehog31
Some uniting was had last night with the Brothers Touring and Mr Pin. A sad start to the evening, whilst driving over I encountered a wee rabbit sitting in the road and not moving. I took him in the car and we made him a bed, the SSPCA person came out but think it had had a head injury or something. Seemed unusually nonplussed for a rabbit, don't really think he was all that with it which is probably a good thing. We There was little mechanical work, I attempted to batter a dent out the back of my 205 with little success, so we decided to machine polish it and the Audi, both coming up great. This morning I met a nice Polish gentleman in a car park and procured four cheap tyres for the pug. I have ordered a pair of bottom arms (coming tomorrow), so will get those fitted, get the tracking done and the new tyres on and it should be even more well sorted. 320touring
I had a wee shot in this last night. Starts lovely, and the XUD pulls cleanly with no hesitation - a peach of a low mileage lump! All controls nice and light yet enjoyable to use (decadent bastard with his power steering!) Interior is superb - really nice condition! Still struggling to understand how pug got the ride/handling balance so good on these wee tubs straight from the factory. 13.5/10 would borrow again. Preferably permanently.
