Not had chance to watch this yet, so that's certainly something to look forward to later when I've had chance.

Give it a watch i do appreciate it, I've made it my goal to try and grow my channel this year, i'm hoping it gives me the motivation to get back into the cars.

Done watch, left a like for seeing you getting back on the horse as it were.  Good luck with the future adventures, you look like you've got your work cut out for you.

thanks, its been a really challenging time and i reached the point where i have to do something, i didn't realise until Christmas just how much loosing my unit had affected me mentally. My will to work on cars has just vanished. I thought restarting the youtube videos although don't get many views or likes gives me a reason to go out and do something. I do want to get the Austin back on the road and since filming that video I've been looking at the Austin thinking it doesn't need alot and i have all the parts.

I found doing the videos really helped me get focused on projects and stopped me starting new stuff without finishing old stuff (apart from the Red Coat, sshh) so I do it for that and to get info out there on stuff that's harder to find.  The video you did is a great reset point, you know what you're dealing with, where you want to be, and can start making steps to get to your destination.  You're a grafter, you'll get it sorted.

Thanks got some stuff to clear first then I’ll drag the Austin out. I’d like a classic on the road as they are cheap to run. It honestly doesn’t need much as much of the welding is done now.

Been a weirdly long absence from posting on my own threads, rather than hijacking Toms thread I thought I'd come back to my own thread, recently I've made a series of sporadic terrible financial decisions, it all started with the sale of my track car, i will post a series of updates on the fleet over the coming days but i wanted to start at the begining....where it all went wrong in essence, ending on my lates acquisition due to land sometime next week, i'll also try and do a blog on each of my cars in the fleet....

So winding back to Aug 2023...I wanted to change things up a bit so I sold the track puma on and thought id replace it with something more metro shaped, i found the below metro on Facebook, it was listed as running driving no issues. As the car was in Anglesey rather than be sensible and look at it, i paid for the car and drove it home, it turned out to be anything other than running, driving and rust free....

No description available.

There were a few obvious faults with the blue metro but i found they were much deeper rooted that I could ever have expected. When I picked it up it stank of fuel, i went to fill it up and it just wee'd all over the floor, it also coughed and spluttered every time I went to accelerate. I drove it 160 miles like this, was a fun caper but not one I want to repeat.

When i got it home i bored @Tommyboy12 PSCAN tool and it promptly told me that the lambda wasn't giving any reading, so I replaced that:

This made zero difference, i then found the TPS wasnt reading correctly, again this made no difference. I then went for the old plugs and leads spotted the coil pack was grotty as hell and the plugs were missing bits

Again this made zero difference...

so I thought id try and fix the fuel leak and discovered this!

I also discovered the fuel filter was blocked and it was running the wrong fuel pump, i fitted a new tank and fuel pump, extra shite points for alpaso beige...and all my problems were resolved! the thing now flys and holds fuel. However i discovered the body was pretty bad even though its only covered 28k genuine miles....so i decided to make a 2nd terrible financial decision...

So with the first metro turning out to be less than perfect, I decided another financial mistake would fix the first financial mistake, que this little cute number up in Aberdeen for ref I'm from Nottingham, seller seem genuine and I like the purple. I paid the full asking price and £350 to get it home, this one I'm a little bitter about, basically the seller scammed me, we agreed a price with the parts, parts never arrived, car no where near as described. Scroll down for pics of its true condition....

Its fair to say i got had over a barrel with this one, agreed for the parts to be included, he never included them, then proceeded to sell them on facebook. After a police visit he agreed to give me £100 worth of a refund but only sent me £90 saying that's all i deserve. TBF I'm still tempted to sue him for the tenne.

Still with financial mistake number two looking even worse than number 1 and at this point I*m nearly 2.2k deep in metros....guess what I did next?

i have purchased ALOT of cars sight unseen, id say probably 8 out of 10 purchases ive never seen, i1 fact one of my austin 1300s I saw so briefly as it was rolled down to the tent, I've never actually taking a picture of it! That was purchased from scotland and shipped down here, it arrived in the dark and has been in the tent since

continuing with the theme, and those that guess correctly I did indeed purchase ANOTHER metro sight unseen. This one was closer and only 350 plus 150 to get home so at a tally im now at around 3 grand in rust metros This one really is a doppelganger of the rust purple one, only this one looks terrible on top but is sold as under the skin. It also turned up with no key and not a straight panel on the car.

@Tommyboy12's car collection capers are always more exciting than my own, while he likes the thrill of driving to go get them, i just pay a man to bring them to my house, it all started in covid years, when Bojo said you can buy anything you like as long as its delivered covid safe, so i purchased a pair of mini coopers from Wales..anyway, its no surprise as Tom already announced it that i purchased the AS bike that is the rover 25, i think its been on Youtube before but not on my channel. Thought it was a good way to get back into things. Anyway here is a picture of the car and the video is at the bottom:
