warren t claim
Seriously, though... two of the most important social issues in Britain today are B****t and the Shamima Begum citizenship debate. And we're not allowed to have an opinion of either of them on the "Open forum", because they involve politics. And possibly religion, maybe even race. So what's better? To disagree about currrent issues, perhaps, or to be BANNED FROM EVEN DISCUSSING THEM? For fuck's sake. All topics being discussed without shit fits on our grown ups forum. dollywobbler
Given the utter shite on social media about those two topics, a ban on discussing them is very sensible. Cavcraft, GrumpiusMaximus, Tamworthbay and 3 others

It's certainly not a democracy at the moment. I'm not blaming the mods for this, but if they organised A POLL about how people wanted the site to be run then they wouldn't have to worry about people whining to them all the time... the majority will have spoken. John F
^ Soz, I gave up on that after 27 seconds (that I won't get back) because I can't see how it's applicable to the issue at all. Also, it's unpleasantly cheesy in a transatlantic way that doesn't gel with me at all. Do you not think that people ignoring threads that may offend them is a good idea, especially since it doesn't impose social constraints on others that might not be so thin-skinned? wrenchvolt, Jerzy Woking and alf892

myglaren
A couple of (non-car) forums I visit have subforums - "The Pit" where anything goes including blatant flaming - but it stays there and is not permitted to be mentioned anywhere else on the forum on pain of exclusion.Never felt the need to enter those areas but they must fill a need. New POD
I'm pretty sure I've (fittingly) got a Mini HubNut socket somewhere. wrenchvolt
I honestly thought about getting one of those mangle/handwringers when my washing machine shocks packed up. Thought one would be a good backup. I drilled loads of holes in a bucket and stuff wet clothes in there. Hung the bucket up on shower curtain rail and wound it and let it spin. Fuckin water everywhere and clothes still soaked. Managed to get some washing machine shocks off ebay in the end. Fuckin water everywhere and clothes still soaked. Managed to get some washing machine shocks off ebay in the end. I remember my Mum using a vertical clothes spinner when I was a kid. It had a spout that emptied into a washing-up bowl. It was quite an old thing then (25-odd years ago) and I seem to recall it only coming out when it was raining outside and the tumble drier had packed up at my Grandparent's house...
