pshome
We asked Robin Hood and he showed us a way out of the forests, without turing around.Back home.Temporary parking achieved, amazingly it starts on 10 year old fuel, drives and brakes. Will a car start on fuel you take today in 10 years? I doubt that, tells you what shit fuel they sell these days at the pump.Time to check it out, it was collected unseen because cheap, very cheap, so cheap you don't look and just go there with a trailer. Actually, it was free.We knew about the struts and were ready for some surprises, so lets check. The interior is...mint!The ceiling stays in placethe shelf is fineeven the vents are Ok.The clock works...so does the radioand the labels didn't fall off from the switchesComfort zone, that velour, loveley. Wow!Rarely seen an interiour that good and i have seen many a Tagora. Next stop, rusty or trusty? Doors... no rustsills and underneath: fine.Exhaust good.Rear arms, weak spot on all rear drive pugs, perfectly allright.Diff a bit oily, who cares. Outside check:OMG it had an accident and wasn't properly repaired.Found some rust, surface only. The mirrors are OK, that is very surprising, usually they are all gone because cheap plastics.Last not least, under the hood check, looks good. It runs, no surprises to be exepcted here. Much happiness here! Struts to be found, we had two spares, they are in Norway now... pshome
Oh good god an automatic Tagora, this is getting close to the pinnacle of shite. Don't suppose its diesel for extra win? 2.2L petrol. old Simca block. Insanely jealous. Tagora + automatic = the pinnacle. Wonder what box this had, the 504 ZF? yes, ZF 3HP22

pshome
I was expecting six cylinders and triple webers. This site really is'nt what it used to be. as you know, this can be easily fixed, no challenge at all: http://autoshite.com/topic/25064-double-divorce-happy-marriage-happy-end-warning-tagora-content-november-2017-update/ The auto shift lever looks like it was pinched out of an eagle transporter from Space 1999. same as on Chrysler 180, likely old Chrysler part dating back to the 16th century. somewhatfoolish, Junkman and Sudsprint

pshome
We just discuss a strange thing here, i am sure a shiter knows, we can't figure. With both springs just hanging loosely around the strut, i would excpect the car front to come way down, why is it higher up than normal? Unfortunately nobody told him that the 504 struts have a design flaw and collect dirt and moisture under the rubber stop at the lower spring plate. pshome
Are struts available or is it MacGyvertime?McGyver? a hopeless rookie! Tagora struts are made out of unobtainium. Not the kind of unobtainium people brag about in forums that are not brown. It's real french 100% pure unobtainium. To find it, a mix of voodoo and witchcraft is required that beams you to a secret place somewhere deep in rural Bavaria. Today. we endavoured that dangerous travel, using a 504 to ward off all evil. The unobtainium is well hidden from the public, but once you pass the magic gates, it is found in abundance and multiple styles and colors. Most of it is of the well hung french variety that only true connoisseurs can really appreciate. Lets have a closer look. This is good quality unobtainium, however some has impurities of the american sort. This is not bad, it may actually be used, the 505 struts can be made fit, however we prefer the real stuff. There maybe some good unobtainium under these piles, but we didn't dare searching through it afraid to wake up some old evil ghosts that may haunt us forever. There is a smell of the Poissy variant of unobtainium in the air. This is another source of likely compatible front wheel maintaining bits. Excellent stuff, but none of the elusive materials that we look for. We went deeper into the secret forest of steel. We can smell it now, true 100% pure unobtainium in both red and silver variants. Struts are good enough, a bit of blasting and some paint and they will be perfectly fine. Costs? Free as long as we remove them ourselves. We will be back with the toolbox soon. Will we end up with a compleletly free Tagora? We take this as a challenge! Crispian_J_Hotson
There is no longer controlled height at the front set by the compressed springs on the leg. Therefore the shocks have extended fully raising the car to whatever height they extend to. That's my theory.... Wait... My 635 has just been found to be in the early stages of this on the driver's side. I can get a new one for over a graaaand. pshome
Talbot
Free! Blimmin free! I have so much want for this it's untrue. I never got to own a tagora while they were cheap and available in the uk, as they were a fortunefor me to insure as a teenager/early 20s. Now that the insurance would be peanuts, they're all gone. Where do you find these? Really? Where? pshome

pshome
Cor, you can see that there is not much material on them spring seats for the tin worm to eat! Well played. All it takes is drilling a little hole at lowest point so the water can get out. Then remount without the stop rubber (you won't ever hit it anyway, trust me) and they wont ever rust anymore. Nyphur
pshome
We never found the time to fix it. So there the Tagora goes. On the way to meet his brothers in Norway. Good struts, bits and pieces in the trunk. Will be a quick fix for the new owner. Sigmund Fraud, RobT, The Moog and 2 others
