I bitch an awful lot about the weather over here, but we don’t get things like this or even close so I really shouldn’t. STUNO
Relief, house is just a bit damaged, it looked to be a good well built one. Not at all surprised the shed is gone though. Your home and family are ok and no flooding .

Sorry to hear you've been directly in the line of fire. Fingers crossed you can get the basic utilities back up and running along with some semblance of normality before too long. I've been following Reed Timmer on Twatter and his reports have been a massive eye-opener. I don't know where you are, but does his report cover your area at all? Madman Of The People
Sorry to hear about this, Phil. I hope insurance will cover the house, garage and the Pontiac, too, naturally. Glad to hear you and your family are okay. What's the situation on the Renault and the Plymouth? BTW, here in Middle Tennessee, we're getting the remnants of the storm. It's been raining for the past two days but, fortunately, no wind at all to speak of. PhilA

The Renault might still be ok. The twister didn't take that side of the garage from what I can tell. PhilA
Lowered suspension. Garage roof is sitting on the hood. Everybody who has gone back has said "If you have a place to stay, don't come back". There's nothing down there right now. No food, gasoline. The city water is back on, at least. mercedade, Low Horatio gearbox, Coprolalia and 8 others 2 1

Madman Of The People
If it's any consolation, at least you weren't too deep into the restoration of the Plymouth. The Pontiac can be saved. Losing that car would have been heartbreaking. Let me know if you want to come to Nashville until things in Louisiana return to normal. I have two guest bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with two single beds. Tickman, Rab, danthecapriman and 6 others 8

PhilA
What a mess. I need to buy a chainsaw. Managed to cut the car free from the wreckage though. Scratches. Bumps. Dinks (that one's not very nice). Did find the visor though. This is surprisingly unscathed. I need to pull the building off it but we'll see how it looks afterward. Phil House stinks of damp and mold which is horrible. An going to try to down at the weekend and get it ventilated better than I did today, clean the carpet and ceilings, pull the insulation out of the roof where it's all damp. Not gonna be much fun. eddyramrod
I put a Like on that because the damage is way lighter than it could have been; even the Plymouth might be saveable, which can only be good news. Glad you found the visor more or less intact too. The Pontiac... well it's honest patina! Old cars always have stories to tell, and these two most certainly do! I hope you can restore some sort of normality Phil, and wish you nothing but the best of luck. danthecapriman
Bloody hell! Not nice at all. The cars seem to have survived reasonably ok though all things considered. Hopefully nothing a bit of tlc won’t sort. Hopefully the house won’t be too bad, and you get up & running as close to normal as possible. Glad nobody got hurt though, that’s the main thing.
