barrett
Can anyone tell me WTF this is all about??? It's so intriguing! I did a bit of googling and apart from one of these blokes being a bit of a daft racist on Twitter I can't see anything to explain any of this. Where they going round selling cars and pretending to be ACA? We must be told!!
meggersdog
Jim Ronan can be seen as the auctioneer for WB and Sons in Newcastle. As for Rob George his (ex) wife is the sole company director. Probably difficult working conditions.
Timewaster
On again at the moment, watching on YouTube. This week's auctioneer appears to be Joe Pasquale's brother. Edited August 20, 2022 by Timewaster
Nullzwei
Years ago someone on here bought a white Renault 16 from ACA. Whatever happened to that car? Never saw a thread on it so i always assumed he/she was sold a pup.

barrett
Aye, twas me. It got lots of use when it first arrived and for a brief period was my only working car. Went to France in it about 3 weeks after buying it, and then all over the country to various things including a Fesitval of the Unexcpetional. It's fantastic! One of the best cars I've had. Sadly, like most things, it eventually just got pushed into the big shed and left for a couple of years. I tried to start it recently and the engine is *slightly* seized from sitting in less-than-ideal conditions. I don't think it's anyhitng too serious but the result is I just shut the door and left it, where no doubt it will sit for several more months until I'm next up there. Ho hum. (I think it's probably a better car than a DS) Timewaster and Nullzwei
Floatylight
Just watching the live auction now, crazy prices for some pretty humdrum cars... An example 2k for a 2003 206CC a couple of years ago wouldn't have cleared £500... and over 2k for a 2001 VW Caddy van
gadgetgricey
Not been watching, but thought I'd have a look at the link and catalogue. Been looking for a Passat GL5 Estate for a while and one is about to go through shortly. (Lot 665) weirdly had just searched EBAY prior to watching, Will see what it goes for £7500 to £9500 estimate seems high, Sold my last one years ago for £

D.E
This is beautiful! Quote This rare coupe was retained by the second owner from October 1937, when it was four months old, until 1999. alf892 and wuvvum
ProgRocker
I papped the Passat GL5 5 years ago from the top deck of a bus. Wunderbar! My dad actually liked these Passat B2s. Were on the shortlist for next used family car in the late 1980s despite not being British.

Schaefft
I was wondering why this Bornite S500 would only be estimated to reach 2500-3000 quid until I read the description and saw this: https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic-auctions/2565-28-Jan-2023/886~4-1994-mercedes-w140-s500-auto

JJ0063
Just having a browse through this weekends classic catalogue, some lovely stuff going through! Had a quick scan of the moderns and this caught my eye, £3200 BIN for what appears to be a very tidy pop top T4 is extremely cheap, equivalent with pop top on the open market is at least double. https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/modern-auctions/2600-23-Aug-2023/3044~1-1998-volkswagen-transporter-1000-lwb History looks tidy, same owner for quite a while. Wonder what the story is? If I’d sold my 335, I’d certainly be going for a nosey round it. Never bought an auction car but the cliche stories worry me.
