Nah, they'll surrender when they see a Bayer and an Österreicher on a Keweseki with a baldachin and a 504 seat on the back.Who wouldn't. pshome

pshome
I think the Chinese still run the cane plantation and mill in Savé? Lonrho had it, we had it and sold it to Complant who are basically the Chinese Government. Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI don't know who runs it now, but i was told its operating.I do remember the times when it was state operated "SSS" and they had a sugar monopoly in the country. The peoples minister of commerce would send officials out checking shops and restaurants for imported sugar. Only the crude large SSS cubes in the blue boxes were allowed, everything else got confiscated. This made all others to package their sugar in rough blue boxes as well, and they never changed back. pshome
Not really, the British used it in Malaya / Singapore, and Austria, Spain and Switzerland are very big users. Haven't the Chinese moved in yet? Those who are interested in the railway story, there are no trains running, however the, now privatized, railway company still exists. There is a very detailed report with all the background and many photos here: http://pierre2cay.blogspot.com/2015/10/lemonde.html Junkman
pshome
Back from a trip up country. Started westwards up the coast, sorry no cars encoutered all the way to Ouidah, enjoy the beach. Only spot, a pair of ski, don't dare asking... This is for rent, if you feel need for vertical transportation, give me a call. it has a bit of sunburn and the wheel choice is slighlty inconsistent, otherwise in good nick. OMG... another british car... once away from the coast the country is firmly in Peugeot 04 and 05 hands. if i say firmly, i mean it. We counted all cars seen over a stretch of maybe 100 miles and 80% were old Pugs. Just think about it again, 8 out of 10 cars you encouter are 504's or 505's ot 404's! Heaven is on earth! Well, sometimes even them fail. but not often... a shop to fix it is never far. these guys were particular, not only they fix them, they convert Sedan's to Pick up's. In spite of the makeshift look of the place, they did a proper job. car wash Spot of the day, a 909! Sorry my friend, this is Peugeot kingdom, your Benz won't work here, don't even try. Your miserable attempt to hide behind a broken truck did't work, you were spotted! Talking about trucks, this is all the marking a failed truck get's. Behind a corner, or a hill? Who cares. Driving overland at night is not advised. Some light truck shite. Members of the animal protection organization should stay home on market day. 50 souls, 3 of them human. The chicken made trouble with the pigs inside, verdict: hang them off the side mirrors. Nice sunset shot, the interesting part is not the sun, but the boat. Fuel smugglers with a load of orange 50 Liter "bidon" coming through the swamps from Nigeria. Truck with a bra, i really need to ask what these are are for. The bra's, not the trucks. So you do not believe the 80%? Proof: jumpingjehovahs, bolognasal spray, puddlethumper and 7 others
vaughant
Funny because everyone in Congo drives a Toyota despite the frog influences. They don't break, pretty much all 90's Corollas pshome
Spottedlaurel
Amazing stuff. The penultimate 404 pickup has some fairly serious negative camber. pshome
