Hi guys and girls, I'm Chris, I've been kicking around the 2cv scene since 2000. I've had two 2cv saloons, a van, an ami, and a Dyane that never made it to the road. Other shite cars included a £500 polo that lasted a few months, a seat Córdoba.. That lasted half-way home. My current motor is actually a kit-car, but it's beige and twin engined, so I hope it's interesting enough to be allowed in here. Will upload pics when my iPad decides to play ball.

Hi all, long term lurker, first time poster. Reckon it's time I posted hello. I run a small gagrage that repairs a right random mix of mostly old stuff, and have (dodgy) fleet of assorted motors including VW t25 Caravelle, VW beetle, mk2 Golf GTI 16v, Isuzu trooper, 1998 Audi A4 tdi, pug 106, and a 206 currently. Gotta say I almost cry with laughter anytime I come on here!

5) A Datsun Cherry.. all the street cred of a turd on your shoe

6) A Lada 1600 ES -- the ES stood for Especially Shite.. in fairness went well but had to wear a bag on my head when I drove it

7) A Chevette.....registration KOW which summed it up  really...

Non Shite have included...............

8) ESCORT mk2 rally car .. when I thought I was the next Roger Clark....I wasn't.......this car went well but once again the tin worm got it

post-17297-0-54526500-1414284486_thumb.jpgHello from a long time lurker.

After three years of owning motor cycles, my car c.v. began in October 1966 when I purchased my first automobile, a 1957 Austin A35 two door saloon, which cost me £31 and 10 shillings. This was replaced about six months later with a 1955 Daimler Conquest for £25 ( I have a pic of this fine example of automotive engineering somewhere) which I'll post when I can find it.

Then a 1953 A30 two door saloon (£20), a 1949 Austin Sheerline (£20), 1960 Riley 1.5 (£15), 1964 Ford Zodiac Mark 3 (£20), then numerous BMC, Ford, Rootes Group, Vauxhalls, Jaguar 2.4/3.4/3.8/4.2, a Beetle, a Simca Aronde and a Renault Dauphine.

As my bank balance improved in 1973 I purchased a six months old Morris Marina 1.8 which I traded in for a new 1974 Ford Escort 1300 two door saloon. I sold that (big mistake) and imported a nine months old Chevvy Camaro 5.7 LT.

Then in 1980 I got married and quickly realised that the LT had to go and I needed to revert to Bangernomic's.

Current fleet consists of six Metro's, a Volvo 940, a Renault Clio Mk 1, a Ford Fiesta Finnese, a Mitsubishi Pajero, a VW T4, a Ford Transit Mk 4 190 van, a Ford Transit 230 Transporter, 4 Land Rover Series 3's and a Focus Estate.

Hopefully here is a pic of my yard I'll add some more detail and pics in due course.

Thanks for the welcome. The Camaro was one of the most memorable vehicles I've owned over the years.

Have I got enough?,too many, plan is over the next year to dispose of everything except the Pajero,LT,940 and one Metro, not decided which Metro to keep yet.

I don't have any pics of my Camaro, according to DVLA, LFD 141 V is not on their system.

A Youtube video of a similar Camaro, mine was bright blue with a white stripe that continued up the C-posts and over the back of the roof.

Ex pat Volkshite fan here. Hi all.  Resident of Sydney, owner of a couple of mk3 golfs and a T4 Transporter.  Childhood memories of my fathers list of jelopies include a Ford Corsair, MK2 Cortina and of a few Welsh camping trips spent in a decomissioned BT Commer van. Good times.

Welcome aboard.

You might* occasionally* hear less than complimentary things said about Golfs and Transporters: please don't take them personally :-)

*will definitely, quite often
