sierraman
Good ones are vastly overpriced for what they are and the cheap ones are usually fucked. Unless I could find another 2.0 petrol I wouldn’t have another now. Focus Mk2/3 for me next time I think. warren t claim

sierraman
Mines conked out this morning, ‘Engine Malfunction’ and ESP light and limp cock mode. Only does it cold, plugging it in shows issue with boost, I suspect it’s either a duff intercooler hose - it still has the original plastic one from the intercooler to the dozer valve. Or possibly it’s the variable vanes coked up and its causing the actuator to stick first thing in a morning. I’ll change the hoses as I have some anyway and investigate if the vacuum solenoid is working and if the plunger on the actuator is seizing. warren t claim and Bren
sierraman
Just been in a Mk4 2.0tdci taxi, it had done 830,000 kms. Apart from a decomposed gearknob it felt in good shape. Rightnider, mk2_craig and warren t claim
junkyarddog
FML,had this happen today, expansion tank cap decided to disintegrate rather than open 🙄 Bit of a bigger to remove the remains from the tank too. Luckily the main dealer had a new one in stock for the princely sum of €8.57. Sorted. warren t claim

I had one that had just had a new bag in, I was surprised as it was over 14 years old, wouldn’t have thought they’d bother.
Bren
My 2004 e60 had to go to Halliwell Jones for a battery cable. Cheaper than a law suit.
Dave_Q
They are recalling those Takata airbags all over the shop, my van (2010 Vito) is in for it next week. It's a cause of consternation for some owners as there is also an outstanding recall for a dieselgate software fix for most of them, which the lads with remaps and no EGR/DPF etc obviously don't want. Wouldn’t bother with the genuine Ford oil, it’s just Castrol anyway. Mannol pretty good, expect £60 or so for 20 litres. Bosch for the filters.
