And once again got the message...."don't ever say there cannot be any of those in this country". T'was a Corsair Crayford Convertible. Doing more than the 100kph speed limit. This one, looking a bit poorly, paint was in a bad way, but obv. Mechanically ok. I were grinning ! Well worth a visit; it's basically a blokes shed, filled with Morgans, Morgan-related tat, and non-Morgan related tat. On arrival, the chap at the entrance said 'It's through there, the light switch is in the right' which set the tone very well. It's not that big, but it's really packed in there-so much so that you won't be able to get into the second room if you're fat or clumsy. Locals are probably aware of it, but if you're passing through blink and you'll miss it so I thought it was worth mentioning. Worth every penny of the £4 entry fee. All ov teh Morgans: There are many cabinets filled with this sort of thing: A Wankel mower engine! Finally, the place from the outside which I forgot to photograph: There's a shop at the front which sells the sort of non-car parts stuff you'd get at an auto jumble. 9.5/10, would visit again. I’ve been a bit of a mod since the early 80s and loads of the old revival stuff is on YouTube and Spotify these days. Anyway, there was a singer back then called Eleanor Rigby and one of her singles she is riding a scooter. I say riding, but it’s clear that the geezer riding pillion Is in control while she sits up front. It’s here: Song is dreadful, but her later album ‘Censorship’ is pretty decent. She was very popular within the mod subculture of the early 80s, but she ended up mysteriously disappearing in 85.
