Ahh yes much like an XJ-S or C4 Corvette handbrake then ?

Never driven either of those

I'd never driven anything that hadn't got a normal ratchet handbrake lever , the only time I'd ever encountered a loose lever was when the cable had snapped so assumed that's what'd happened

I bravely had a conversation with the missis about her eldest (my stepson) and his attitude at school slipping again. I didn't agree with her defensive and protective statements... it went well*. 0-crazy in 4.2 seconds! I've locked myself in the bathroom for the time being...

Oooh you got the Buick, might have to pop over for a nosey, I liked the look of that old barge.

Are you gonna do a write up?

You're welcome to come over for a drive.  You can have a go in the Y10 while you're here if you want.

I'll do a write up at some point - not really done much with it yet other than drive it home, but will start giving it a proper look over on Saturday, weather permitting.

There was a tidy looking silver K-plate Sapphire at Birchanger Green services yesterday morning - I didn't take a photo as I was too busy looking out for a gold Buick, and by the time I went back that way it'd gone.

stick to the facts.

Start every sentence with, I'm really not sure, but my own gut feel is unlikely to be the solution.  Do you want to hear my pointless, ill thought out ideas just for a laugh?

Volvo 850 oil filter change. It's on the bottom of the block and can be accessed with the undertray in situ, all you need is a jack.

Coming from the Honda D-Series, sweet fucking mana from heaven. On the D it's halfway up the back of the transverse block. Under the inlet manifold (or carb)..

I have seen toddlers being better liars... Not able to talk yet toddlers.

8:20 onwards is amazing.

Please, please, please warn of Piers Morgan content. Very much not safe for work when I involuntarily call him a snivelling fucking sack of cum.

Twice I've heard his fucking voice today, does anyone have a pair of knitting needles to put through my ear drums?

I wouldn't be surprised if an ex-Saville Roller is worth more than an equivalent one without the notoriety.

I was quite pleased to see the pollution, I didn't think we had any working chimneys in this country ( the UK) any more.

I was also surprised to hear a lady in one of the many charity shops say to a colleague " It's payday at the steelworks today, people will be collecting stuff we've put to one side"

I didn't know there were any steelworks left , but how poorly paid must they be if they have to wait for payday to buy stuff from a charity shop? I bet once upon a time it was a very well paid job.

No diecast in any of the charity shops either!

Apart from Port Talbot, Scunthorpe still makes steel from iron ore, coal, limestone etc. There's electric arc steel making in Rotherham, Newport and at lots of little places.

Steel workers generally get paid monthly, used to be 25th with me. Also they got paid the week before Xmas so it's Ben a long month.

Don't worry about them being poor in Port Talbot, shift bonus etc adds a third to wages and trust me, some of the production boys are (and were in my day), on far, far more than some managers. Not that in any way pissed me off. At all. Ever...
