My mate took his D701SWL round the block when we got the engine running again with no bonnet wings floor or windscreen, looked fucking boss! Dread to think what would have happened if someone had jumped onto a front wheel but meh, it didnt happen! I'd have driven, with the missus right behind me in her car and another mate infront of me for protection!

New set of plates made up for the 940 for £10. Excellent![/]

Was this online or in person? Need a set for my new steed

Dingbro motor factors on the company account; £10.34 or something stupid it came to.

Grin this morning? Chris Evans breakfast show. Is it one of us with the Perkins Prima TD powered Morris 1800?

Only classic* I saw this morning in 350 miles was a piss yellow Avenger estate on the M25, it did cheer me up though.it looked like it should be somebody here so I gave him a thumbs up as I passed at nearly twice his speed in my modern Humber estate.

Edited to add: It could have been this one, I noticed it still had the number plate where it should be,not moved by a towbar like most of 'em.

Being a cripple (broke my back 18 months ago - slipped on the decking!) I get my shopping delivered. Nice man from Sainsburys has just turned up and given me a load of money back as certain items were 'out of stock'.

Checking the shopping everything I ordered is there and in the correct quantities - free nosh!

Pulling up outside the shop to collect the Friday evening takeaway, I couldn't help noticing a not unattractive girl walking down the pavement towards me. As she drew level with the car I couldn't resist giving another sideways glance, only to see her giving me an identical look out of the corner of her eyes. Admittedly she was probably only looking to see who the hell would be driving a tatty old BX round, but we both broke into wide grins as our eyes met!

Why didn't you offer her a lift in the BX, then ?

Some of the stuff I kept back from my old Polo in the hope that I'd one day own another is returning to my old Polo.  Looks a bit different now but I reckon it went to the right person.

I did not realise it was kept going. TBH I thought it would be scrapped with all the mods as they are not worth much coin and its probably been a fair bit of work. Its looks quite smart though.

The debate between Farage and Clegg made me laugh.

Both depressingly lightweight politicians.

Apparently Ed Milliband has said that Farage should be excluded from future debates.

Because Milliband knows he will get his arse handed to him over immigration.

If these three fuckwits (and buller boy Cameron) were cars they would deffo be shite.

Come to think of it, no matter what they were they would be fucking useless.

Same here, in all honesty.  The new owner is Guz over on the blue forum and he was after a solid shell which on the whole mine was with the usual rot areas already fixed.  I don't know if he put a 1.3 engine in it but it looks like he's done all the other stuff he said he was planning to.  Gives me the warm fuzzies to see that my trusty old Polo hasn't been scrapped and looks to be in good hands now.

Next time buy her something to eat in the BX and offer to ride up and down as you eat her kebab. That's the sort of offer no self respecting bird would refuse.

Complicated logistics meant that after getting the 2CV welded up, I had to collect the BX from my mate's house. That meant getting a lift from Mrs Wobbler in the mighty Sirion. As she was giving a lift to a friend, I sat in the back. It's utterly horrible back there! There appears to be no suspension at all back there.

However, it's still a grin, because the cheap, Ebay exhaust sounds absolutely hilarious! I enjoyed it very much as Mrs Wobbler drove off. That car properly growls. Like a tiny puppy.

Jumping into the BX after the Sirion is like jumping into a swimming pool of treacle after strapping yourself to a Rolls-Royce Merlin. That's misfiring.

Also, DubFX plus volume is making me grin this evening.

... they certainly would not pass a MOT...

NO SHIT SHERLOCK.

Fuck me, you were dragging an Escort out of a ditch, not raising the frigging Titanic.
