Cavcraft
Next in line for the tools MO if Billy doesn't want them ... It's about time I got my own tools If billy doesn't get back I am on Norwich on the 13th if that's not too fr from your end of lincolnshire. It's not a post job There's lots and lots of tools - and it'll be added to next week as I throw some old sockets into the mix. There is a very very old snap on ratchet too. Some of the tools are crap but there's some alright ones. I'll even throw in a metal tool box too. Cheers, I was actually threatening to visit my brother in Norfolk that weekend as well. Campbell: Pm'd. Skattrd: Go for them!
meshking
Bought a cheap Volvo V70 last week, but failed to look properly at the MOT before I paid the money. I knew it expired soon, but didn't see the list of advisories given to it last time - mainly front suspension bushes, inner cv joints and brake hoses. Grumped around for a week, and took it into my friendly MOT garage. Showed him the old MOT and he showed me all the points they had advised on - but nothing was to be found... Main dealer MOT - take as much money from your "customer" as possible, perhaps? Anyway - 12 months mot now, so I'm a happy chappy now with a big grin. vulgalour
I am having a good day today. The job I had to leave due to lack of transport is taking me back now I have transport and I start anew on Tuesday, which I'm really, really happy about. The other good news is that the assessor has told me the Princess has a bent chassis rail and inner wing, but that she is repairable, I'm currently going through the process for a cash in lieu settlement and my car back so she isn't written off and I'll have the readies to put her right again. So I'll get to be back at a job that I'm happy enough to do and I'll get my baby back and be able to make her better than before. I am a happy, happy person and felt the need to share the joy because, by jove, it's well overdue that I had some good news!
Spiny Norman
Just look at the flange you'll get literally crawling up the bonnet of your car when you buy an Alpine radio cassette!

ayd
a while ago my Brother gave my Mum his Alfa 147 as he no longer needed it, it needed a few jobs doing for it's MOT but as her 145 was getting a bit long in the tooth a deal was struck with the garage that they'd do the work on the 147 and put a fresh 12months MOT on it (around £700 worth) and in return she could just leave them her old 145 as payment and they'd break it for parts. (apparently the garage she uses is a bit of an alfa specialist or something). Anyway Mum was gutted as she loved her 145 but had to admit she'd prefer the newer 147 so the deal was done. It never sat well with my Mum as we are a car loving family and she'd often talk about it on phhone calls to me etc. Just been up North for their Golden Wedding Anniversary and she handed me a letter. It was from a chap not to far from where I now live saying he'd bought the car from the garage and was going to restore it with his 2 sons. She was over the moon and so pleased it hadn't been stripped and killed off. I'm not sure if she was happier about the family get together for her Anniversary or that the car was safe and sound. Cavcraft
Given the slight 'Brendan-ish' style of the clothes I therefore deduce you've bought this... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1996-VOLVO-B1 ... 3f1d414b67 ...and plan on doing an Autoshite version of Coach Trip. cort16
Bored yet? It's a Puma. My Mrs needs a car for a bit and I've always fancied one. This one came up a few miles away and now it's mine, well her's.
Morgan84
Puma 1.4,1.6 or the ultimate 1.7 ?
cort16
1.7. Loads of new bits on it, arches not hanging off it and plenty T&T so should do the job, be a bit of fun and I'll not lose a fortune when I come to sell it. I'm not a huge fan of modern fords but always fancied one of these.
Morgan84
1.7 = FUN !! My friend had one from new,and that car went like the wind;at 6000 rpm in top gear,it was doing 120.I always found it hard to keep it under 35 mph,as they want to 'play'. The headlamps are crap though, and the gearknob is bloody freezing..... Love them !
cort16
Cool. Looking forward to it. Should be interesting for the Mrs as the fastest car she's driven is a Citroen C1
Morgan84
Rev it to 6000 rpm through the gears and have fun ! They are basically a MK4 Fiesta chassis,so very good on most roads; One day I will have to get one,but im sure id end up bending it !

Sorry to be bearer of bad news but it's 5318008 not 5138008 Shhhhh! they'll notice! I didn't because I'm a stupid stupid bugger

Negative Creep
Nice collection. What's the thing next to the dreamcast? Panasonic 3DO, perhaps the ultimate in console shite. Unfortunately I can't get it to work and it seems the controller port may be buggered
