Just heard that the arsehole neighbours are moving out !!! Fucking get in, just in time for a peaceful summer, fingers crossed the newbies won't be smoking whacky substances every evening for the entire summer wafting into everybody's windows

You'll be pleased to know that the new neighbours can't abide by weed whatsoever... They much prefer crystal meth 😅

Joking aside, glad you're potentially getting some peace. When I lived in a flat in Eastbourne I had some absolute wasters above me who never went to work and would think nothing of playing shit music loudly in the early hours every fucking night whilst alternately falling over all the furniture and screaming the place down. Then once the sun came up they'd normally start rutting on the world's squeakiest bed whilst moaning like hippos in their death throes. It has a big impact on your quality of life having to deal with that.

Being used in heavy traffic queuing with the rest of us mugs for the pleasure of driving mole like under the Thames.

I knew something good was about as I could smell it before seeing it and then hear it too.

I’ll hold my hand up and say I don’t know what it is. This pic on zoom was as close as I got. It was lovely though.

...finding out that Honda have in fact decided that if your 2017-2019 Civic is "on the list" you can have your air con condenser replaced for free 👍

That's interesting. Son had a 68 reg, bought at 11 months old. Aircon gave up the ghost very early in its life. Obviously got it done under 3 years Honda warranty and sold car last autumn.

someone in the USofA started a class action as it was a world wide problem- they got a recall i was told the warrenty has been extended on the condenser to 10 years

Font looks French but I've never seen a French reg in that format.  Besides, French cars are generally re-registered when they change ownership so the chances of any car still retaining its 1930s reg are very slim.

YY is London and starts September 1932. Very high chance it is original to the car.

The car is a regular at Goodwood. It used to be red but has recently been repainted blue.

Two things from yesterday.

i) My 90 year-old Great Uncle using his ceremonial naval sword (Commander, RNR) to cut his birthday cake.

ii) This Ford Escort on the M20 yesterday.  59 raging horsepower and the incredible* 'Encore' spec.  It's even had welding done in the last couple of years:
