What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

I've been grinning like a loon since Saturday.

I've had my full bike license for 31 years, but hadn't ridden in 30, until Saturday.

I crashed my bike back then due to riding like a newly qualified teenager, and lost my nerve a bit. That and not being able to afford a bike and a car at the time meant that I went with 4 wheels, and never really thought about bikes again. Until my son took his CBT and got a scooter.

I borrowed a friend's 125 commuter over the weekend to see how I felt, and had a bloody fantastic time. I have use of his bike until March, but I can feel a shopping spree coming on.

Good for you, enjoy it. If I could be "yer Mam" for a second though, be careful out there - the roads of today are different from 30 years ago.

Sermon over.

Yes, it is these. I have 4 so have 2 for each wheel. They can be connected together as in my picture.

And they are very useful and easy to pack in the car so they are in the car all winter.

If you enjoy it in this weather, you will love the summer.

Keep some string with them so you can tie them to the back of the car, that way you can keep going until you are on grippier ground or until you get stuck again.

I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but I love my smart (it's not got that badge on now, first thing that came off)

It's a 450 700 turbo

I like it but it could do with more go

So I've bought a 451, 1.0 turbo, 84bhp but can be mapped to 118bhp which might be a laugh

Are these still speed limited?

I had 1 as a courtesy car when I crashed my Passat Gt and needed to take the Mrs to collect her Disco 3.

It kept bumping off a limiter at 99 mph running down the M54...
