I went to the 8 Ball Diner tonight for the Retro Rides meet, Sadly it was also the Pistonheads meet there tonight as well so there was a bit of chaved up shite there amonghts some fantasic other stuff.

Making me grin though was Nightmare Racing's Cortina Van as it was leaving the Diner on to the A12. (Turn your volume right up!) 8)

Day off today, so I did bugger all until about 2pm. Went out to the Jeep and discovered that the aircon, which had previously been coping pretty well, couldn't deal with 23°C and instead of cool air was pumping out not that cool air.

Trip to see my local aircon man, 20 minutes later, ambient temp at 22°C, temp of air from Jeep vents - 0°C. Result.

Does your aircon man do all makes? Cos my aircon comes on but does fuck all else. Clutch kicks in but NO COLD. Eugh.

Two things making me grin, I past a C reg Vauxhall Cavalier saloon in china blue last night on the A12 with two mountain bikes strapped to the back, Though you couldn't see the rear lights or number plate, naughty naughty.

Then today i saw a N reg Escort Diesel which was as rotten as a pear and with mismatched bumpers towing a shitty looking caravan along the A12 with a stream of black smoke pouring out of the back of it. LIVIN THE DREAM.

Oh and another thing making me grin today is ride on lawnmowers.

My dad's recently bought a 3 year old one of someone he's knows for £50 as the clutch has gone on it, It cost this bloke over £900 from a catalogue, lasted a year before it broke, the catalogue wouldn't accept it back so it's spend the next 2 years in the back of a this blokes shed.

My dad's bought it, fixed it (Turned out to be a bend link or something) and i had a go at cutting his garden this morning.

WEEEEEEEE!!!!

Wheels Day 2011. What a turnout! Easily the best car show I have been to, without a doubt.

Could have been terrible though, there was literally miles of queues going into Rushmoor Arena, and quite a few cars couldn't take it, especially one Yank Tank which blew its radiator. My mates Zodiac (Aircraft Carrier), which I travelled in, also got fuel pumping issues and we actually pushed it to the front gate, where it decided to start up again. They are not light cars.

Got a wave from some geezer in a TR6 today, a few smiles and a 'tidy car' comment whilst out and about in the Cortina. Even the missus enjoyed it.

Wasn't it just! I got there at about 8.50 and had to queue for about 25mins to get in. Must have been crazy a little while later and cars were still rolling in after midday.

We got there about 12.30 & parked up the road. What a fantastic turnout :D8)

I've not been to the unit yet, sounds like a plan one day. Plus I'm thinking the bodywork the Cortina needs might be better off done by young Mark.
