I saw some roofers on the M6 in a Fiat doblo dropside , payload is about 800kg

it was full of bags of what looked like pitch , I’ve never seen a vehicle so overloaded , springs on the bump stops and then some , sills 2” from the road , it looked like a boat , Christ knows what it cornered like

they got to the M58 and headed off towards Liverpool , then some poor sap drives past J28 and gets pulled for 100kg over

One of my wife’s friends was having lunch in a pub in Liverpool

on the table next to them was a family with their grandma

the grandma was being bothered by a fly so she rolled the menu up to swat it but kept missing

after a few missed attempts her grandson who was about 5 stood up and said , quite loudly

give it here grandma , I’ll twat it for you

I believe that the word twat has more than one meaning.

It's a pregnant fish,

A Tory politician,

A fanny.

A person who is a bit of a nasty price of work

And it mean to hit.

Normal parlance for most of Liverpool I think.

Got pretty wankered up town last night.

Much needed day off work today.

Four figure tax refund arrived this morning.

Time to go and look for an(other) old two stroke bike or moped.

Just watching Deals on Wheels with Mike Brewer and Richard Sutton:

Yeah yeah, I know. There are some Mike Brewer haters on here...yawn...etc...

Check out the young Scottish 70s "throwback" selling a 1980s Citroen BX at around the 15 minute mark...

Now this was the 90s, most members of the public found appearing on television rather uncomfortable, lots of muffled speeches, uncomfortable silences and a general air of "what the fuck am I doing here?" which was highly refreshing to see, much better than the talentless wannabes who assault the TV screens of today.

Price of work? Unlike you, sir! 'mean to hit' is a bit dodgy too.

I did wonder. I mean surely a Scottish 1970s throwback student-type who likes old cars with a general 'I'm uncomfortable around unfamiliar humans'  demeanor cannot not be a part of this forum, surely.

In the programme it shows a Citroen AX parked on the driveway then a dark-blue Xantia later on.

We definitely don't know anyone like that.  But if we did you know they'd be into Triumphs or some such.

anyone know what the car is (not the model T)

Then I come across this fantastic piece of history.
