jakebullet
I'm walking to the station and there's a chav shouting in the incoherent way that they do into a phone. I get closer and can hear "do it then I dare you. Do it now". He then starts doing all the chav hard man silly poses that they do and punches the person on the phone. Despite them not being there or not being able to see Mr hard or feel his 'powerful knockout punch.' I keep walking as he tells his opponent to stay down if he knows what's good for him. cobblers
I just love this flipping van, it got me up a massive gret hill with cars abandoned here and there and back down the other side, then I had a shower and a shit and a kip in it and the following morning drank some coffee and then drove straight to work. I think I gave spartacus off here £2100 for it - I don't think I've ever got nearly as much value out of any purchase in my life. fairkens, CGSB, anonymous user and 30 others
richardmorris
My Steve bell print. First thing I’ve ever bought that arrived in a wooden crate! Number 34/50. Maybe in a hundred years it may be worth more than I paid. chaseracer, Datsuncog, Tadhg Tiogar and 1 other

Looks like the Range are trying to fill the gap left by Halfords reducing their paint range, so good for them. I have a can of that Ford Sierra Beige (not a colour used on the Ford Sierra, logically enough) right here as it's one of the colours I use for my model truck fleet. beko1987

Halfords in Swansea has Ford Roman Bronze and friends too — plus legendary BL hues such as Applejack and Pageant Blue. chaseracer
Zelandeth
Just stumbled across Flamin' Hot flavour Cheetos in Morrison's... haven't had those since I was last in Iowa...that was in 2009! Many things I don't want to see arriving on our shores from the US...but personally this is something I'm quite happy to have found! Joey spud
I needed some matting for the back of my van and found a guy on ebay selling stuff made from recycled tyres that was originally fitted under astro turf pitches. It's a bit sandy but at £22 well under half the price of a chunk designed for stables. Charlie the chunky Beagle was on hand to supervise the cutting to size. That'll do nicely. And had enough left over for the back of the car. dome, Skizzer, DeeJay and 7 others

PhilA
Straightened up and cleaned this little radio. Need to order some new parts to get it playing properly again. It's been around the world, spent many years in Africa and then came back to the UK. It's all worn out. Phil Edit: Also as an interesting historical side-note, if you look closely at the left hand scale, there's a couple triangles (between 6 and 7, and again between 10 and 14), which are very Cold War- those are the now defunct CONELRAD positions on the dial- if all the radio broadcast was to be shut down to prevent enemy aircraft using the transmitters as direction finders, those were the two common frequencies you could tune to in order to determine when imminent death was going to occur.
