Already one of the most cheapest to run cars on the road so lets stick a fuck off massive LPG system on it too. This guy obviously didn't like wasting time stopping for fuel.

Landed my first job interview in fifteen years.  Admittedly, I've not spent fifteen years looking since I've been gainfully employed and only recently started applying for stuff.  Last time I did an interview I wore a suit and tie, is that still the norm?  Did things get more casual?

It's for a credit union, so I'm guessing a bit more formal wouldn't go amiss.  It's funny too, I only applied for this one on the off chance since I've never worked in finance so I'm a bit surprised I've got through to an interview.  Good effort by the person calling on trying to pronounce my name too, they almost got it right.

I think you won't go wrong with a suit and tie for a credit union, it's not a start up in palo alto.

went for a walk in the countryside , was looking at this river from a bridge .. as you do

when the local riot van ambled  past me , yep , 3 coppers looking at me , they pulled up and got out and walked past me ..

they were after this chap sleeping rough and went to his den to flush him out .

mean while I had walked onto another bridge and was talking to this irish guy who was on a comfort break from a long drive , about  how quiet it was out in the countryside ,

some bloke was making notes about flowers down by the river ... we watched him ..

then this lad ran past , followed by a copper , with a 2nd copper close behind on the radio ,3rd copper had the  riot van on the move ...

lad legging it   over the fields with copper after him ...

we sort of looked at each other and carried on talking ...

Got an X trail with non functioning AC

Found one of those AC re-gas kits

Put it in, no leaks and it only works, it's freezing in here, actually colder than the freezing outside

Boo, it leaked out

Took it to ats for the £40 Groupon and they found the leak, looks simple enough, top union right on top of the engine

Lad seemed helpful, asked the manager if they had any O rings, yes, then no, he'll need to book it in again, got the impression the manager just likes the word no

That's right mate, only get one shot, live on the wild side, live dangerously, etc etc...

But wait, how far can you push things in this Olli way of life, surely there has to be some sort of boundaries to the wanton abandoness.....

I was on the M42 the other day and overtook a car with a big sticker on the back that read, "ANTISOCIAL"

As I drew level, I took a look at the driver and he looked quite antisocial. Big tattoo covering half his face, a bit of a scowl, a piercing through an eyebrow.

The car was a white 63 plate Nissan Qashqai

Watched a Toyota Hilux and trailer driving very slowly over some speed humps today which is usual for such vehicles, they normally ignore them.

Then I noticed it had a big tank on the back marked “Bordaloo”, a big tank of shit, think I’d go carefully.

Anyway, what amused me was its Eurovision week.

I followed this up the junction 4 off lane on the m40 Northbound this morning thinking it was a triumph of some sort but no, it was a mini pickup!

Back tailgate had Domino stamped in it (hence I thought it was a dolomite pickup from the back).

Was being towed by an AA flatbed which had a range rover on the back so I assume it was being relayed somewhere

Hasn’t a pick-up been stolen relatively recently? Can’t be many of them about.

You can see it is a fibre glass shell. The doors don't got to the sills and there are no external door hinges.

Domino also made these

I've been in this new job since Tuesday.

They're sending me to Aviemore for the weekend and paying my mileage, accommodation, everything, so I can do a course to get certified as a bicycle mechanic.

Of course I'm taking the E36! The route involves the Lecht...

I don't feel like I'm at work each day, I piss about playing with bikes and drinking tea, and get paid for it. I even have a wee project going in a corner, being built from a load of very nice donated parts.

Even the half hour each way commute isn't exactly a hardship. The Megane is doing high 40s mpg and the route is all flowing B roads. The only traffic I have to contend with is the odd tractor.

I just became an uncle for the second time.  Little Noah was born earlier this evening.  This is especially good news as we all thought my sister in law wouldn't be able to have more kids, after complications with my other nephew (now nearly 7).

My planned trip to Belgium and Germany next month is now going to incorporate a detour southwest to Grenoble to meet the new arrival.

Hang in, Fatboy Cook was in The Housemartins?

Not a fan of their music, but even so, I'm not sure how I missed that detail along the way.

At work doing some repetitive data entry on some paper records. I got frustrated when my typing got mixed up and exclaim: "Oh, you cockwomble!"

My colleagues had to ask me what it meant. Then it dawned on me that I perhaps picked it up from this very forum.  Cue one colleague explaining that she was a fan of the Wombles and likes their philosophy of litter picking and recycling.

You know Paul Heaton was too don't you? Sorry if I'm stating the obvious. But between the two of them they went off in very different directions and sold many many millions of records each but The Housemartins seem to have been largely forgotten. Not entirely, but compared to Fatboy Slim and The Beautiful South they have.

Yup, I'm aware Heaton was in the band. I just seem to have missed the fact Cook was also a member.

You're going to tell me that Brian Cox was in D'Ream or something next!
