I might have one for free if you want it? I think it is sitting in the cupboard and with the plans to move etc I think my missus would be pleased to see the back of it. Also earns Karma points :)

Just checked and I do have one with Dr Mario /Tetris plus Mortal Kombat. Yours if you want it.

Again not a great deal. The common consoles can still be picked up for very little and Duck Hunt was one of the most common games so widely available. Retro games are cheap if you're after the common stuff and aren't too worried about condition. Just bare in mind that the light gun won't work with a flat screen TV

C5 sold today to first viewing :D

Placed ad on Autotrader about 11am this morning, had a phone call from some foreign woman at 2pm. Said they be there within the hour.

3 Romanians turned poked & prodded, took them for a spin. Took money out of pocket paid and went with no haggling

Why can't all car sales be as easy!

After lots of graft and stress, my first proper uni project is coming on quite nicely. Had loads of grief with our group initially, made one decent team out of three bad crews, lots of delays and misunderstandings but we're nearly there now.

Off for a mini break now to tax the car, but not at the last place thank God. A 4 AM finish this morning and an 8.30 AM rise do not bode well for my already lacking interpersonal skills.

Got the latest issue of C&SC through on subscription and some dodgy Eurocrime compilation through the post to begin watching tonight. It includes Tony Arzenta \ Big Guns \ No Way Out on DVD, along with a Maurizio Merli film I haven't seen and two others, all for £3.50 posted. I wanted a version of TA really badly. Original copies on tape go for small fortunes on eBay, and the uncut Pathe DVDs are long out of print and expensive when they do appear. The file I managed to torrent got badly corrupted for some reason, so I'm really happy my bargain popped up on the 'Bay. I even found a music blog site with the original Gianni Ferio score to download whilst I was pacing about and swearing at the assigment last night. This includes the Big Guns theme tune 'L'appuntamento (Sentad A Beira Do Caminho)'. Ferio's a capable bloke, but no Stelvio Cipriani.

I might order my birthday present tonight - a working Zenith H511 Racetrack. It's coming from Canada and is as awesome as it is fucking expensive.

That's made me grin too. There's a feature on a 275GTS/4 NART. I built a model of that car when I was doing some 1/43s for Grand Prix Models. That actual car. I was told it was for the owner of the real one. Only one was painted silver so I found out the chassis number and painted it on the bottom. I hope he appreciated the detail. :D

My mum just turned up

"Theres some stuff in the back of the car that the bloke at work sent for you" (She works at a charity and they get stuff donated)

2 pairs of speakers - One set of Bang and Olufsen Beofox C40s, and some B&W DM560s. The B&ws need a tweeter replacing, though. But for free, I can't complain!

EMAIL:payment_201014 at yahoo.com

ATTENTION BENEFICIARY,

ACCEPT OUR SINCERE APOLOGY

I Mr. Kojo Willy, the executive chairman United Nation Reconciliation / Compensation committee for the scam victims on behalf of my co-members do hereby bring to your notice the reorganized and coded good will package from this committee as set up by the UNITED NATION ORGANIZATION (U N O) in conjunction with the AFRICAN UNION (AU).

The introduction and delivery of the ATM CARD compensation payments to most of the Beneficiaries was halted due to the activities of some impostors who cashed in on that noble package to defraud innocent and unsuspecting individuals of

their hard earned money pretending to be the real officials of this body. This menace truly gave us a big worry due to various complaints from the victims of those impostors and we had no viable option at that time other than to put to a stop all the ATM payments until a more reliable , well coded and coordinated payment arrangement is set up .

Now, a more viable and coded means of paying such honest people as you of their entitlements via the ATM has been mapped out, to this end we give a stern warning to all the beneficiaries who had in one way or the other

communicated or dealing with some person(s) in respect of their ATM CARD delivery/ payment to please stop further dealings with such person(s) as this office will no more bear the risk arising from such complaints.

You are therefore advised to send to us these below stated data of yours for reconfirmation and record purposes so we can effectively complete the CODED PROCESS of your over due payment.

1) YOUR FULL NAMES

2) ADDRESS

3) OCCUPATION

4) TELEPHONE NUMBER(S)

5) YOUR IDENTIFICATION

This will enables us facilitate and speedy up the process of delivering your ATM CARD to your destination within 7 days without hitches or any manipulation of any kind

by those criminals.

BE WARNED THAT NO PAYMENTS OTHER THAN JUST INSURANCE AND COURIER DELIVERY CHARGES OF FIVE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE UNITED STATE DOLLAR ($525) WHICH IS OPTIONAL FEES WILL BE NEEDED FOR A TOTAL GUARANTEE ON THE SAFETY OF YOUR ATM CARD IN TRANSIT TO YOUR DESTINATION.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. Kojo Willy

Executive Chairman,

An S12 silvia drives into our works estate and back out again. Like it was there just for me to spot. I only got a quick glimpse so should probably be grumpy but it was nice to just see one.

Gf said today that she might try and drive the Xantia because it is ultra cheap on dizzle which means she might give up her Micra. Which in turn means I am allowed to get another play car ! :D

Just came across a lad on another forum who just saved a 1972 Opel Kadett 1.2 Rallye (like mine but the coupe version for those who don't know), he's still at school but i think he really has his work cut out, I do hope he does complete it though.

Towed a mates Vauxhall Agila to Stealership with my Micra today after he lost his only key and had to get anpother one. I didnt think the Micra would make it towing another car, but it did without any trouble or complaint. Strong, Stout little car that Micra. Couldnt resist a a few handbrake turns and donuts on a snow-covered empty carpark

Also downloaded a THX Soundtrack that usually accompanies a film in the cinema before it starts.

I once towed a mate's Saab 900 Turbo ten miles with my Kia Pride. It did absolutely fine, rolled along at 50 in fourth no problem at all. I also had to tow my Legacy Estate off the A11 with the Innocenti once when the Subaru's clutch went - that is not an exercise I would like to have to repeat.

Brilliant!!

Just met Jason Plato...

... and he is an arrogant wanker

Saw his grey 911 Turbo parked outside the dry cleaners near where I live and thought "Wow! Its Jason Plato" so I hung around to say hello and meet him. 20 minutes in freezing 2 degree cold and he comes out and I say hello and he shakes my hand. I say that I really like his car reviews and all that to which he just says "yeah yeah nice yeah, bye". Gets into his Porsche and drives off. Can't even spare 10 seconds for a fan.

Its true what they say, don't meet your heroes.

A Hand Shaking Lesson to George Matthews

Next time you shake hands with a complete stranger, follow these simple rules:

1. Engage eye contact in a warm way

2. Smile (a little)as you introduce yourself

3. shake up and down twice and

4. LET GO of the recipients hand.

5. Continue chatting whilst maintaining eye contact

The below is what you should NOT do (which you did)

1. Appear from knowwhere

2. Start jabbering on like a weirdo

3. Look at the floor whilst jabbering at the recipient

4. Thrust yourhand out and then NOT let go

If the other person at any time is forced to say

" Please let go of my hand"

Then, you have I am afraid, made a very bad first impression.

Buddy, you looked like, acted like and are a weirdo.

if you see me again, my advice, turn around and walk the other way,

I will not be polite next time.

Lesson endeth.
