9 min vid showing the considerable skills of Frank Kelly, Irish rally driver and car builder.  Co-drivers have their work cut out trying to read pace notes at that speed.  Hold on to your hat, it's a bit fast.

There are 10 vids on Youtube going into details of the spec of the Escort (actually one of two almost identical cars now).  Over 300bhp from a non-turbo engine.  You can find the other tech ones from here -

Much competition spec Escort geekness.  Fantastic.

Next one has excellent pace-note reading, but sometimes things just go wrong . . .

I watched the video and enjoyed it. Just found it a bit frustrating that they did not say if they got the vans into Pakistan.

Think Hirst formerly of this Parish first brought this to my attention;

Certainly an interesting watch in so many ways.

My Wife Hates Everything I Like might be better, as I'm sat here listening to Yellow Magic Orchestra and she's shouted "What the fuck are you listening to? It sounds shite".

This could become quite addictive to listen to - it does have a certain something....

Wrak van de Weg, if the term "It's fucking fucked m8 big time" was a tv show segment:

That was a very popular consumer prog from the Dutch TV. The car segment was the popular section of the show. Sometimes they wondered how the cars were moving.

Full episode here for your delectation

What's the deal here? Are these cars that people have actually bought, driven and discovered are junk or what? Because these look like the sort of car even RoadKill and others of their ilk would turn their noses up at if they found them in a scrapyard.

Put basically, these are vehicles which the police seized during a roadside pullover and inspection. One of the 2CVs featured was bought by the television station themselves and then handed into the police to get their opinion on it. It was very obviously rotten with no sills or floor, at 6 years old too! What usually happened is that the previous owners were interviewed by the station to see why they were driving obvious deathtraps. Some had no idea, some had no choice and one was a criminal IIRC. It's sort of an edutainment section educating the viewers why these cars are unsafe and the importance of maintaining and inspecting your vehicle.

Not unusual - and it was doing quite well at 6yo in a damp country much of which is below sea level!  Many a later UK 2CV needed a replacement chassis under warranty to pass its first MOT.

This Morrissey video, as far as I can tell filmed on the Becontree estate and the actual Ford factory has some fantastic mid 90's street furniture.

Is this before or after Morrissey became an almighty knob?

I do not think that was the factory. There is a pay and display sign at the car park. For me that would suggest a public car park.

I have been trying to find out where this was located. The ex LCC Becontree estate is huge. My Grandparents lived there. I have only found one reference to the location and that was from a tweet dated back in 2015. No answers either.

The Stranglers sang a song with the same name, but different lyrics/tune.
