I've only heard bad things about Skoda, so I turned up with an open mind and didn't just slag it off like some of these softboi's seem to when they're confronted with anything less than a supercar (which really annoys me). To be honest, it's definitely not my era of car (I'm 70s or before), but I thought it was great VFM motoring and really underrated. Sorry I didn't mention the Felicia tailpipe - I wasn't aware Cheers, Steph Don't worry, I wasn't expecting anybody else to notice the Felicia tailpipe. I only notice as I have one of each. The Felicia has an oval end, the Favorit is round. Mine is a mk1 which is even more 80s than the one you drove with its brown interior and vinyl covered cardboard door trims. I do 1960s as well with a 1969 Triumph 1300TC. In some ways the Favorit feels closer to the Triumph than it does to Felicia. Despite the the Felly being based on the Favorit it feels much more modern. Anyway thanks for a favourable review, I enjoyed it. egg
LoftyvRS
I worked for Skoda when Favorit became Felicia then subsequently the new Fabia, and even as late as 2004/5 if we had a nice low mile Favorit in it would go up for sale and be sold within days. The following of them from the older Estelle/Rapid customers was tremendous. Much nicer seats in the Favorit compared to Felicia I always thought. Yoss
There's two types of Favorit seat. The base models look like Felicia seats with different material, though probably are much softer. The higher spec cars have the nice squarer seats with the extra thigh and bolster support like in the video above, mine are like that but in two shades of brown. What more could you want? Lovely that was, look at the volume of "normal" company cars pounding the motorway, Ford Sierras, Escorts, Granada's and Orions, also Vauxhall's Cavaliers and Astras. All you'd see nowadays is Euro Executive mobiles such as BMW, Audis & Mercs, all with DRL's glaring away with a whiff of Hugo Boss inside and big watches galore egg
mitsisigma01
Amazing isn't it how people used to use their fkin eyes and manage to fkin see other fkin vehicles in broad fkin daylight without the fkin need for fkin blinding day fkin time running lights and fkin twats not knowing how to fkin use a fkin headlight switch and having front fkin fog fkin lights on all the fkin time..... Ooops wrong fkin thread, should of been in the "grumpy" thread There was a great 1970's film (that I saw on Talking Pictures) that was about increasing the apperance of motorcycles to make them more conspicuous to cars. The solution was an elasticated hi-viz cover that fitted over your (switched off) headlight. I remember them because I bought one for my Goldwing. Why no one thought that running with the bikes headlight on was a better solution. I feel daft for running round with no lights on, but a bit of orangey yellow 7 inch disc over the headlight to ensure I was seen.

cort16
I know hoonigan isn't very autoshite and some of their stuff is painful to watch (bro). However this is quite a good watch (Ken Block always comes over a bit of a grumpy dick) but Rob Dahms enthusiasm and self destructing car is great. Also he ripped off the mustangs suspension design by screen shotting youtube videos. There's no way I'd get in it though.

egg
It is kind of amazing that even in 2021 in the US of A they are still sticking massive V8 (sub 15 mpg) engines in aging designs. Doug getting all excited about it, but it's pretty basic stuff. It's fascinating that America has the great disrupter in Tesla and good old Dodge clinging on to 20th Century ways. They won't sell many of these in Norway! sheffcortinacentre

I missed the excitement. The woods where the convoy hid in is called Harewood Forest. Fat_Pirate
